Spiritual Warfare over Finance and/or other areas where there seems to be a repeat.

Just to give an account to what transpired for the Lord to give me more revelation over finances. Yesterday, June 16, 2004, I thought my car was stolen that would have made it the third time in 2 years. The good news is that it was not stolen and that I had parked it in a different place even though I did look all over the garage.

To back up a little, I had a dream a couple of nights before that I believe the Lord was trying to get my attention. This is the dream:

This is a very short dream! ”I was at some type of Christian meeting and not for sure where I was. I remember some lady came up and gave me a word but do not remember who or what it was. Then Beth Alves came up and said something to me about binding

and loosing. I went to find her to ask her what she meant and I woke up.”

Part of the interpretation: Beth could be symbolic of the Holy Spirit and giving you instruction on how to fight a possible spiritual battle that you may be in or will be in the

near future.

Mt 16:19 I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatever

you bind on earth will be bound in heaven: and whatever you loose on earth

will be loosed in heaven.[king james version]

Mt 18:18 Truly I say to you, Whatever things are fixed by you on earth will

be fixed in heaven: and whatever you make free on earth will be made free in

heaven.[new version].

The first thing that came into my mind was every time I got extra money, it seems to get stolen from me and I’m not able to keep any of the blessings. This has happened more than I can even recall. When something continues to occur over and over, that means there is something to it and the enemy has an opening to continue to operate in this area. There is a curse operating. I was immediately reminded about my previous job when I was very involved in the deliverance ministry. I used to have money disappear right out of my account, things all of a sudden would break throughout the house (example – both washer and dryer break down at the same time). I tithed and gave faithfully but this did not stop over 4 years. Also, at the same time, my car got hit six times in five months in the parking garage at work. That got expensive especially when I just spent some money to get the side panel replaced and the next day it was torn up again with my headlight hanging out. Only one left a number for me to call. The rest were hit and run. Also, when I tried to tell the deliverance team what was happening, it seemed to fall all deaf ears.

II would say in the last six months, I started including my finances to cover them under the blood of Christ daily with everything else. I got tired of the enemy stealing from me. Are you tired of the enemy steeling from you?

A scripture came to mind that the Lord had given me some time back when I was fasting and praying at the prayer center. He reminded them again to me because I needed to be more specific in praying or breaking generational curses. Read all of Daniel 9: 3-21 and more if you want. See below:

verse 5 – )we have sinned, committed iniquity, acted wickedly and (7) rebelled, even turning aside from Your commandments and ordinance”..

verse 6 – “… we have not listened to Your servants the prophets”,

verse 8 – … “Open shame belongs to us, O Lord, to our kings, our princes and our fathers, because we have sinned against You.”

Verse 9 – … “ for we have rebelled against Him; …” – Israel, the forefathers, rebelled against the Lord because this was sin before Israel was taken captive.

Verse 10 – “nor have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in His teachings which He set before us through His servants the prophets.

Verse 11 – “Indeed all Israel has transgressed Your law and turned aside, not obeying Your voice; so the curse has been poured out on us, along with the oath which is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, for we have sinned against Him.” Again, the sins of the forefather, caused curses to be poured out on the present day people.

Verse 12 – “Thus He has confirmed His words which He had spoken against us and against our rulers who ruled us, to bring on us great calamity; for under the whole heaven there has not been done anything like what was done to Jerusalem.” Calamity can also mean curses that are activated to be carried out for destruction by the Lord because of sin.

Verse 14 – “Therefore the LORD has kept the calamity in store and brought it on us; for the LORD our God is righteous with respect to all His deeds which He has done, but we have not obeyed His voice.” The consequences of sin brings calamity to a person, to a family, to a nation and/or people group.

Verse 15 – “as it is this day–we have sinned, we have been wicked.”. Even though our parents might be Christian, do they live a godly life, tithe, etc.

Verse 16 – “O Lord, in accordance with all Your righteous acts, let now Your anger and Your wrath turn away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; for because of our sins and the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people have become a reproach to all those around us.” Daniel is now praying for forgiveness of the sins and iniquities of the fathers (forefathers). Remember again, Israel has already been in captivity for 70 years. So, he is referring to the sins of the fathers of the past.

Verses 17-21 – are supplications that we need to follow.

17 “So now, our God, listen to the prayer of Your servant and to his supplications, and for Your sake, O Lord, let Your face shine on Your desolate sanctuary.

18 “O my God, incline Your ear and hear! Open Your eyes and see our desolations and the city which is called by Your name; for we are not presenting our supplications before You on account of any merits of our own, but on account of Your great compassion.

19 “O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and take action! For Your own sake, O my God, do not delay, because Your city and Your people are called by Your name……….”

This is God’s promise to us [Jer 3:12-15; 14:20; Hos 5:15] Leveticus 26:39-41 “If they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their forefathers, in their unfaithfulness which they committed against Me, and also in their acting with hostility against Me–41 I also was acting with hostility against them, to bring them into the land of their enemies– or if their uncircumcised heart becomes humbled so that they then make amends for their iniquity.” Again the Lord allows this to become humble, dependent on Him and again turn around. He will amend and forgive the sins of our forefathers and bring healing to us meaning reverse the curse to a blessing.

The enemy uses our sins or sins of our forefathers to use against us. Through those sins, it gives the enemy the right to come against us. The Lord allows it so that we will turn from our sin and turn back to our heavenly father.

Conclusion, I needed to bind the enemy off my bloodline from the sins they committed against God in a specific area of finances such as tithing and/or using money used for wickedness by my forefathers. I had godly people on my mother’s side and the Lord showed me that they were not always obedient. I had a great grandfather that was very wealthy (had a town named after him) and had prayer meetings at his place. He invested unwisely and lost his fortune and committed suicide. That caused the curse to come down to me. On my dad side of the family are mostly heathens. My grandparents very involved with Freemasonary and my grandmother involved in Eastern Star. My grandparents had used their money for wicked things and not for the Lord.

II watched my dad make a fortune but to loose it as soon as he made it several times. His idol still today is money. He was not going to be blessed since money was an idol. The Lord was not his source of security. I would think that will cause curses instead of blessings.

A study on Curses and how they work in the area of ancestral curses only. There are other types of curses through our sin, cursing ourselves with words and thoughts and curses that come from others and/or objects.

Curses are the opposite of blessing is the calling down of evil on someone or something; to afflict; a judgment. The word “curse” is used 230 times in scripture! Curses exist and are very real even in this day and age. They are invisible block to healing, deliverance or salvation and/or blessings. Here are a few kinds of curses. Blessings, we are told that if we obey all His commandments (teachings of scripture), will be blessed to 1,000 generations and that if we are disobedient we would be cursed to the to the third & fourth generation. Before proceeding further, see Deuteronomy 28:3-13; Deuteronomy 28:16-68; Proverbs 26:2; and Deuteronomy 30:19. That means, if a Biblical generation is 40 years that would be 40,000 years of blessings.

Ancestral Curses (also called bloodline or generational curses). Often things we have done have compounded a curse from previous generations. Some curses are solely a result of our choices. Jesus has made provision for every curse to be broken through the cross. However we must realize that they are not AUTOMATICALLY broken just because we are Christians when we get saved because the curses are familiar spirits that reside in the soul and not the spirit. When you get saved your spirit becomes alive.

These are curses that came down from previous generations. They give us a strong bent or propensity toward certain sins and bondages and curses in finances or in other areas. We each were born sinners because of Adam’s introduction of sin to the human race. Adam then produced “after his kind.” That is the ancestral curse in its broadest meaning (Rom. 5:12-21) But our very own unique mixture of family bloodline determines our particular “brand” of sin. Children who are adopted or not reared by their natural parents show conclusively that more is involved in this than environment. Four times in scripture God makes this statement: “I will visit the iniquities of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those that hate me.” Hebrew word for “Iniquity” is the word AVON or AVOWN which means a bentness toward rebellion, perversity or moral evil. Iniquity is more than an act of sin; it is a system of behavior or a way of life. God’s blessings for the righteous go for 1000 generations. “

Deud. 7:9 {Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.”

How do the bloodline curse operate? Familiar spirits in our family create strong propensities in us toward our ancestral sins. We buy into our natural desires. We sin in the areas we are drawn to. Thus we become guilty by our own choice. We are individually responsible before God.

The nature of a Curse – The one word that sums up the effects of a curse is frustration, b.This pattern of frustration may occur in various areas of our life, business, family, health and finances and will usually have negative effect on our personal relationships, and c.There are two features o i. Their effect is seldom limited to the individual. Once they are released, they tend to continue from generation to generation until something happens to cancel their effect. The main attitude that brings curses is rebellion.

Conditions for enjoying God’s blessings are – Blessings go for 1,000 generations (a generation is 40 years). Listening to God’s voice, and doing what he says.

The good news is that the Lord has given us authority to break curses in our lives. So, if you have something reoccuring over and over in your life, that could be a result of a generational curse that needs to be turned back to a blessing.
