The reason I said Oneness theology is anti-Christ is because it is a different Jesus. It is not the God of the Bible.
“Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:
‘Sacrifice and offering You did not desire,
But a body You have prepared for Me.
In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
You had no pleasure.
Then I said, “Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God.”‘” (Heb. 10:5-10)
This is God the Son speaking to God the Father. There is another passage that I think is in the Psalms (It is quoted in Matthew chapter 22) that is the Father speaking to the Son where He says, “Sit at my right hand until I make Your enemies Your footstool.” There are others but I don’t remember them off the top of my head.
How can the SON pray to Himself……. as in the garden of G.
How can the SON cry out to Himself on the cross, My God, My God, Why have you forsaken me.
How can the SON sit at the right hand of Himself?
That’s a valid point. The Son cannot pray to the Father if He is the Father. BUT… neither can the Son say that He is “I AM” if He is not GOD. This speaks to me of GOD as being triune (i.e. three Persons, but one Being), with the Holy Spirit as the third Person.
I do not pretend to understand this. I do not pretend to understand GOD, the great I AM. None of us will ever fully understand GOD, because he is infinite and we are not. There is no way that we can scientifically analyze GOD or even understand fully who He is, and it is arrogant to think that we can. Some things we must simply trust Him for and go on. The only thing we can do is to love the truth; and when GOD shows us truth we will embrace it and praise Him for His mercy.
God bless…and love the Truth!
