Let’s talk about this:

<< Atheist arguments for reasons that God isn’t aren’t any better in the eyes of believers than Christian arguments are of why and who God is, is in the eyes of Atheists. What really fouls it up is when debaters on either viewpoint manufacture, misread and manipulate evidence from which to reason and thereby justify their view. >>

Evidence…<<1 a : an outward sign : INDICATION b : something that furnishes proof : TESTIMONY; specifically : something legally submitted to a tribunal to ascertain the truth of a matter

2 : one who bears witness; especially : one who voluntarily confesses a crime and testifies for the prosecution against his accomplices

– in evidence 1 : to be seen : CONSPICUOUS (1 : obvious to the eye or mind) >>

This from Mirriam Webster online dictionary.

According to George, both sides…atheist and theist..”manufacture, misread and manipulate (hereby known as MMM) evidence from which to reason and thereby justify their view.”

Do we? How do we? What is evidence that stands up to the scrutiny of reason? On both sides, what evidence is something that furnishes proof?

Assuming that believers also use reason to determine that which they are willing to think is real, how do they MMM the evidence so as to justify their view?

Also assuming that non-believers use reason to determine that which they are willing to think is real, how do they MMM the evidence so as to justify their view?

If both sides can come to some agreement about what constitutes “evidence” that is not MMM, then maybe something may be agreed upon.

George thinks I do not admit to acknowledging evidence because I have a closed mind, and he is not alone in that opinion of atheists. I need to know what evidence theists suspect I have closed my mind to, such that I refuse to acknowledge it.

What do I refuse to “see” about deity belief, particularly about God?
