<< And what picture r u looking at, Rob?>>
I think Rob is looking at reality.
and then writes:
<<Why does Christianity and/or the beliefs of others interest u? Is it because something inside of u (deep inside) whispers “there is something more?”>>
Uh, it interests most of us because it pervades our communities and country, and has a powerful force upon the world at large.
While I may talk to myself and anything in my presence whether animate or not, I do not hear “whispers” deep inside or around me, and if I did, I would check in with my doctor…cuz something really wrong was happening with my body.
There is nothing more, never was, and never shall be.
KK also writes:
<< Atheism has been defined as a religion, so it is the religion of your choice.>>
WRONG!! Atheism has nothing whatsoever to do with religion except that it lacks any…so how could it be defined by what it lacks. Most atheists’ choice is reality, not the unsubstantiated.
<<I follow my inner voice and it leads me to the life and message of Jesus Christ. Therefore in order to develop my knowledge, I must go to its source, the Bible. Don’t talk about Christians only restating what the Bible says, Of course they do. They believe the book! >>
Okay for you. Do you believe what is written in every and all books…I sure don’t. And the bible as source for christianity?…most scholars are not very sure of that anymore, not even christian scholars.
<<You can choose to believe whatever you like, but don’t refute the Christian message until you have some personal experience as to what it stands for and how it is displayed in the lives of its followers.>>
More than just a few athiests have been there and done that…and we still refute what your bible stands for, and that your deity is real. One does not need to follow a creed in order to refute the legitimacy of the belief. Do you refute Oden, Mirthra, Allah? Why? There are many who follow these deities and guide their lives by their words.

<<You are young and seeking – at times u r probably radical, but I have been around for a long time and what was once radical becomes ultra conservative as the years go by. Probably you will continue on your path for some time, but I can assure you will never find what u r looking for.>>
Au contraire, most young atheists, agnostics, deists grow more sure of thier lack of belief as the years pass, and unless they are unstable individuals, never return to a deity belief. They stop looking for what is not there. It is a fool’s game to do so. Life has more to offer than pretending to find something to fill what some feel is a hole within their psyche. Atheists have no hole to fill…we are complete as nature made us.
And last KK writes:
<< The claims He made about himself mean that either he lied to us, or was himself deceived, or indeed He was who He said He was. I chose to believe the latter.>>
Your choice. I do not think there was an historical Jesus the Christ. I think it was all made up for the benefit of leaders to bring a cult belief a real world touch.
