I had a dream the other night. I was standing in a field and suddenly became aware that I was in the presence of the Holy. Everything, and I mean everything became blindingly white … everything except me. I could see my flesh and it was filthy and rotten, and all I could ask Him was “Why do you love me?”

We need to be very, very, VERY careful of what we attribute to God. We need to make sure that we are not picking verses out of their context to make it fit a premise that we have.

The second commandment says that we are not to make images of God and worship them. Making God into a self replicator is the imaginings of men — it is NOT that which is taught in the Holy Word.

God is holy, holy, holy and we are not — in fact we are prone to heresy on a daly basis. Even we who are in churches that have a more accurate and consistent Theology are subject the fleshly fantasies concerning God, and if we do not check them with the Word of God AND consult the works of great men of God over the past 2000 years of church history, then we WILL make an image of God and worship it and maybe even lose our souls in the end. If not that, then we will surely destroy the faith of others and lead them to false ideas about God.

I don’t doubt your sincerity, nor your excitment, but I urge you to reconsider. There is little to no difference between what you claimed concerning God and what the heretic disciples of Joseph Smith say. May the Holy Spirit convict you and turn you from heresy to embrace the Lord as He is!

We should all be careful to neither add to nor subtract from the Word of God. SemiPelagianism (SPism), is the mother of virtually every heresy. It diminishes God’s grace and elevates the ability of fallen man. It encourages Christians to go further than what the Scriptures teach and to supress those things which are more difficult or which make most people uncomfortable about God. The effects of SPism may be seen across the globe and is the prominent form of theology in the Evangelical Church today.

God help us all. May He destroy His enemies either by conversion or in judgement, and may He do it quickly!
