Home Forums Re: Expelling the Immoral From Among You

Hi Rahlin,

I’m not sure I fully follow what you are saying. The posters question was specifically out a verse in Corinthians. This should be applied to an “unrepentant” believer. I would imagin since this person is a believer they understand that it is wrong to sleep with their fathers wife. Yet they chose to continue to do something that is even openly known by others. “I” would assume since this person is in a church they have been counseled somewhat regarding their actions.

The reason so many churches are a disgrace today is because they treat sin so lightly. Especially among the leadership.

Where do you get that the flock is the whole world? I would like to see this. It’s not in scripture.

Matthew 26:31

[ Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial ] Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written: “ ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’

~ the world was not scattered if the flock is the world.

John 10:12

The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.

~does this mean the wolf attacts the world and scatters it?

The flock are believers.

Do we honestly believe that the current church in America fosters and environment where people can, for instance, admit they are homosexual?

It’s exactly the opposite. The church in America will not only let someone admit they are a homosexual they will let them remain in their sin and call them a believer.

The practicing homosexual and fornicator that profess to be believers should repent or be put out of the church for a season as Paul says. I say this assuming they have been counseled regarding their ways.
