God is no respector of persons but also he has special plans for our lives and because of this he may give special help and attention to some which is going to look like they are his favorites. If you draw closer to him, your plan will start to unravel so to speak, and this will cause you to be more of a favorite to him. He favors those who are fully devoted to him. II Chron. 16:9a
