[quote]Okay, daredevil, if you believe it as it says and taking it out of context, then you are saying that another verse and verses are not true. All Bible verse harmonize with each other, I believe that there is no contradictions anywhere, in scripture ! What about:
For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Rom. 3:23 Yes, we start out as having sinful natures, which manifestes itself in time.
Also, look at this:
Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Rom. 6:12-14 If one accepts Jesus Christ’s words….’go and sin no more’ (John 5:14 & 8:11), and depends upon Jesus Christ to fulfill HIS word, in a person, then it is possible to ‘go and sin no more’.
Remember, it is not the person who does the works of Righteousness…but the grace of God, that does the works.
As Jesus said: ‘Without me, ye can do nothing’
