I’m not here to point the finger at anyone. That is not for me to judge. Only God knows the heart.
There are many Christians who fall away but have come back, I have seen this over the years of church members, and they virtually say that they have come out stronger Christians for it.
As far as your husband is concerned, I would suggest that you keep on praying for him, even asking the church that you attend to do the same. Many miracles have been wrought through prayer. And most of all — show that you love him regardless. That’s Jesus method. If you look at the people in the church, it doesn’t take long before you become discouraged, because people are not perfect. Jesus is the only perfect human who lived on this earth. Look to him. He is the Author and finisher of our faith.
My first wife who divorced me because I became a Christian,She was coming to church with me for some time, but decided not to carry on with it, is now studying to become one herself. It took over thirty years before she decided through The Holy Spirit working through prayer. So there is always hope.
May I suggest that you read Jesus parable of the Prodigal Son. Luke 15:11-32
I will certainly pray for you and your husband.
