There is a passage that talks about all things are permitted but not all things are profitable. The Bible also says that we should not let our freedom be a stumbling block to our brothers and sisters in Christ. This can heppen very easily and we probably don’t even know. My daughter saw one of her AWANA leaders walking out of a liquor store (which is in the same building as the convenience store we go to) with a case of beer. This really hurt my daughter, but the leader doesn’t even realize this happened. Yes, I believe that it is permissible for Christians to drink if they choose, but I also believe that puts an added responsibility on them to make sure that in no way can that drink be used by satan as a stumbling block in another’s life who doesn’t believe it is ok.
