In the New Testament, we understand that the way to salvation is plain. It is not based on works of any sort, but on faith in Jesus Christ and the work He accomplished on the cross. He provided the only road to the Father, therefore He is the Way. He defeated the Devil, who is the Father of Lies, therefore, He is the Truth. He made a way for people to live forever in His presence, therefore He is the Life.
But what of Old Testament saints? How were they saved? What was their path to the Father? I would be interested in hearing the ideas of any who would like to reply!
