And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, BUT THE END IS NOT YET.

However, Jesus did say that we should occupy until he comes. Your desire to be a witness for the Lord is to be commended, and is important, war or no war. Is Jesus coming soon? Yes. He said he was in Revelations. Note, however, that Revelations was witten in the first century AD. That said, we ought to be prepared to be here for the long haul, as well as being prepared for him to come ‘any minute now’ (at any moment, unil the rise of the antichrist we can be sure there is at least 3-7 years left before Christ’s return, pretrib rapture theories aside). Considering end times theories are not vital to the faith, we should also be open to the fact that we could be be wrong.
