Does God speak to us today?

I think He does, primarily through His word. Another Christian may tell us something or we may get an idea we believe is from the Holy Spirit, but in each and every case we need to check to see if that agrees with the Bible. Read Acts 17:11. Luke was applauding the Bereans because they did not just accept what Paul and Silas said, but searched the Scriptures to see if they were preaching the truth. That is an amazing verse. Think of how many Christians just accept everything the preacher says on sunday or what they hear on the TV, or even what they read on the internet.
