Anonymousok.. so far i have seen alot of opinion but no word on this subject really.. let me put some scripture out here.. ok?
as christians we have the holy spoirit inside us when we believe..
john 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you
God uses the Holy Spirit to talk to us..
John 14:26 the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you
john 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come
Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit..
Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness
one way he was led was a troubled feeling on the inside.. a warning of the Spirit.
john 11:33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled
john 13:21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me
He percieved things by the holy Spirit..
Mark 2:8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
Paul was led by the Spirit..
acts 16:6
Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia,
After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not
And they passing by Mysia came down to TroasAnd they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us..And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavored to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.
.. paul was told by the spirit not to go to certain places.. warned.. probably the same way Jesus was. then when he got the vision.. he figured it out to go to macedonia.
Ro 8:16 says The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
ro 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
you see, the same inside knowing that your saved, is the same spirit that talks and guides you.
God on the inside of you via his Holy Spirit can talk to you in numerous ways..
but one thing to remember is,. it will never contradict the written word of God.
