God is not and has never been ‘out in the air’ waiting for our desires, requests, etc.

God is of course the Word, whether in the prophets of old time, in His Son on earth, or in the Bible, he is still the Word.

Then the Holy Spirit, Which emanates solely from the Word, will guide us by His convicting presence in our spirits.
