As you may know, I have been trying to gather hardcover books for additions to my library, especially those classics that our public schools seem to have tossed aside.

And…many of them I have never read. So…if I want to be able to tell my grandchildren what a good read a book is I kind of have to have read it….right?

Putting “Christy” away, my eyes lit on “Captains Courageous” and here I am on the boat with Dan and Harvey salting fish.

What are some of your favorites from childhood?

What are some of your favorites from young adulthood and later?

I probably have a lot of the ones that come to mind, but you all might think of some great books that I missed. What did I read instead of “Little Women?” [blush]

Too much Science Fiction, I think…
