Well for Christmas I surely understand the edible problem with critters. There are so many things you can do but try and keep in mind that we’re praising Him for the holiday season. You can do very simple things including making interlocking rings with colored paper that has been “sparkled” up with sparkle glue. These can then be strung on windows or across archways. Also using old Christmas card fronts can be recycled into pretty hanging ornaments or decoupaged into pretty overlapping pictures. These too can be hung from the links you have made. You can buy “cheap” wooden utensils and decorate them with cinnamon sticks and pine cones and pine greens. Same for using bells, popsicle sticks and stuff. Ribbon can be gotten pretty reasonable from discount stores. I noticed the dollar type stores already have Christmas items out so I grabbed some things now while the selection was good. You can also use glass jars or bottles placing a small string of cool burning Christmas lights running the cord out the top and cover top with colorful fabric loosely tied with ribbon or raffia. Pretty doilies work well and assist with the ventilation. You can add colorful beads to the jar for that little extra. Well that’s a couple…I was blessed with a crafty mom and some has rubbed off on me! I just wish I had more time to do all those things.
As for your anniversary. The best things are from the heart. How about coupons for things like, a back rub, foot massage, special meal of choice, evening of no distractions with each other, etc. The ideas for these are unlimited depending on his likes and dislikes, and your lifestyle etc. God bless you both on your 1/2 year anniversary.
