I don’t agree. I think that the NIV and other translations are just as reliable, if not more. By studying the orignal Greek and Hebrew words, scholars have translated the Bible into a language people can understand better. For example the word “charity” in 1Cor:13… it better translates into “love” once you study the orignal text.

Look in your NIV at Acts 8:36 and tell me ” what doth hinder me to be baptized?”

Then look at a KJV and it will tell you in verse 37, the difference could mean eternity. I have an eight year old that can quote verses from the KJV and tell you what they mean, the hard to understand argument don’t fly, the Bible says in 2nd Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The problem is people don’t want to pick up the Word of God and really get into it, to take it apart and mine out those gold nuggets, they would rather have someome just lay it out without any effort on there part, therefore we have these modren “perversions” of the bible. Satan has been trying to twist the Word of God from the beginning of time and this is just one more of his efforts.
