I need some advice. Here’s the situation: I sent an email the other day to someone who works in the same hospital I do (different dept) who I almost never see but would like to get to know better. After sending it, I’m wondering how he might have taken it. Can you tell me after reading it, if you would have taken it as a)Oh, that’s nice, I’ll make a new friend at work or b)I think this girl is interested in me (thinking more along the lines of having asked the person out casually on a date) or c) something else?
I intended for the impression of making a new friend at work and if it turns into more, great, if not, great. Here it is:
I wanted to say thanks for helping me out with groupwise earlier today – I’d still be trying to figure it out!
As a side note, would you ever want to meet up for coffee sometime? I could use a break from the office every now and then! Anyways, thanks again, and I’ll talk to you soon.
