“For Christ is the end of the LAW for righteousness to everyone that believeth”, (Romans 10:4).
Now….has anyone looked up what the word: ‘end’, means in Greek ?
Does you understand that the word, ‘end’ does not neccessarily mean, termination ?
It is often used in the sense of design, object to attain to, purpose, destination….as the Greek word, ‘end’, says it is.
In 1 Timothy 1:5 the same Bible writer (Paul) says: “Now is the end…of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conconscience, and of faith”.
If the words, ‘end of the Law’, meant end (termination) of the Law’….then many other verses of the Bible would never have been written,as they would make no sense whatsoever !
#1.) “IF..you love me, keep my commandments” (Jesus said, in John 14:15).
#2.) “This is the love of God, that we keep his commandments”, (1 John 5:3).
#3.) Paul himself says that Love in the fulfilling of the LAW, (Romans 13:10).
(NOTE: have you noticed yet….how the words love, and commandments, are used in the same sentences ?)
The Christian world sees the Law (commandments) of God, as a form of bondage…just as Satan wants them to.
REMEMBER: “And the dragon (Satan) was angry with the woman (Church) and went to make ..WAR..with those who keep the commandments of God…”, (Revelation 12:17).
Satan’s own interpretation of Romans 6:14…is a prime example:
“We’re not under the Law, but under grace”.
And, the Christian world, at large, accepts this without understanding what, ‘under the Law’, really means !
(Which Romans 3:19 explains, very clearly)
The underlying attitude is: that the Law (commandments) of God is not for the Christian, to follow anymore.
YET….Paul said: “Do we (Christians) make void the Law through faith ?”
“Yea, we (Christians) establish the Law”, (Romans 3:31).
And so….we come back to Romans 10:4…..”Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to every one that believeth”.
