First of all I am a saint---a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I came from poor and humble East Indian parents. My native land is Guyana. I was born into a muslim family. Most of my relatives are still muslims.

My spiritual birth took place in Toronto in 1979. The man and woman who should be credited with bringing me in prayer (via TV) to the Lord Jesus are Jim Bakker and his former (now deceased) wife Tammy.

I am living in Toronto, Canada. My wife, who is also from Guyana, is still with me. She was a muslim. She has entered into God's family, after much fears and doubts, shortly after I was saved. Thanks be to God, my three children are also in the family of God. My life has been pleasantly enriched despite many tribulations. I am blessed with two lovely grandchildren.

SOME FOR JUDGEMENTS IN THE CHURCH

In my walk with the Lord Jesus, I have come to learn that the Church is lacking in the demonstration of God's ongoing judgements inside and outside the Church.

When I was a babe in Christ, I thought now that I am saved I will never sin again. I will never be punished if I messed up. I was joyful most of the time. I had a lot of zeal but not enough sense to restrain myself when I ought to.

Then came the trials, and man was I unprepared. I will not go into particulars about my experiences now. The point I am trying to make is that Christians experience God's judgement (or chastening). While we are not judged for our salvation because we have passed from death to life, we are most certainly judged for our works.

Our behaviours and attitudes are included in our works. Remember the children of Israel how they complained and grumbled against Moses when they were in the harsh wilderness? Wow! You are taking us back to the law and its harsh judgements, you may be thinking.

Well brothers and sisters, I am afraid it is Bible-based and it is applicable to Christians. If you search in the letters of the New Testament you will find one
writer speaking of the judgement of the Israelites as an example of warning to us.

But brother Abdool, you may be saying, Jesus taught us to forgive our brothers seventy times seven. Yes, that is so, if he repents and ask your forgiveness. These are not the cases that will come under God's severe judgements, because a brother is really actually very weak if he needs to repent seven times in his dealings with one person in a day.

The cases for severe judgements are for stronger and more mature Christians. The demonstrations of such severe judgements by some saints in the Church are what is lacking. Some saints are to stand in the place of Peter, when led by the Holy Spirit, to execute such judgement as was determined against Ananias and Saphira (see the book of Acts). Their sin was not against a particular brother, but against the Holy Ghost. Therefore, they had no recourse to the seventy times seven conditions to escape judgement.

Some Christians are set apart to execute similar judgements in the church. The problem is that they may not receive the backing of some other Christians. In other words, Christians who are prepared to stand with the Holy Spirit to be such instruments face the risk of persecution and expulsion from Christian churches.

I have a fervent desire, and that is to bring people to repentance and faith in my saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.

I was schooled with a primary school and partial secondary school education in a public school in Berbice, Guyana. I left that school to attend the Apprentice Training Centre in Port Mourant, Corentyne, Guyana. After one year there I was sent to do two years of study at the Georgetown, Government Technical Institute.

While in Canada I enrolled at De Vry Technical Institute to gain my Electronics Technician diploma. I have done a lot of study about business and other subjects.

My spiritual education is from communicating with the HOLY SPIRIT, attending churches, prayer meetings, listening to tapes, reading books, viewing Christian television shows, talking and interacting with other Christians, reading and meditating on holy scriptures from the Holy Bible.

Many God-ordained experiences are part of my spiritual education. I am still learning and growing.

LACK OF POWER

Eccl. 6:1-2 (KJV).....evil......under the sun.......common among men : A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it : this is vanity and it is an evil disease.

Power from God is essential for overcoming many evils. This particular evil of not being able to enjoy the blessings of wealth and riches is because the power is not given by God.

If power is lacking in any area of your life because God is withholding it from you then you may not be able to do anything about it. Notice I said "may not". There are cases where you can do something about it. You need to get close to God. You need to get back in His favour in every area of your life. The reason is because God does turn from certain judgements even after they have begun.

Remember Moses in the wilderness with the children of Israel when God sent judgements against them? Some escaped the judgements by getting right with God. They believed what God required of them and they acted on God's conditions and were saved. Others who despised God's requirements died.

If you are not a believer in Jesus Christ, you are missing the true riches (spiritual and everlasting riches and honour) even if you have natural riches and wealth. You could not have even the natural riches and wealth if they were not given to you by the same Jesus who made all things. Every good and perfect gift comes from our heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He provides us with rain and sunshine. He hold up the heavens by His mighty power and wisdom. All the vast expanse of the galaxies are His. Here is something for you who hate Christians. You should not despise the hands that feed you. You see, Christians are the true heirs of everything. That is Bible-based. Check it out and let your rage come to an end. Get on the side of the Christians.

You may have read or heard that Jesus, the King of Kings, standing before Pilate the Roman governor, answered Pilate that he (Pilate) could not have power over Jesus unless Jesus's Father had given such power to Pilate. Yes, even Pilate was under God's authority. Amazing! Even our Lord Jesus acknowledged and submitted to that power. In doing so our Lord was acknowledging and submitting to His heavenly Father's power.

Like Pilate you may be attributing your authority and power to others and not to Jesus Christ. That is what may be keeping you form some other blessings. King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon (see the book of Daniel in the Bible) learned the hard way that power comes from heaven. The king of Egypt, who contended with Moses, learned the hard way. What is your choice? The power can be taken away from you also and strangers can come in and consume your blessings. Who loses in the end? Jesus? The heavenly Father? No, you!

Prayer For Forgiveness and Power

I have sinned against you Lord Jesus by not acknowledging that all good gifts that I have come from your Father. I lack power to enjoy my blessings. Strangers have been eating my blessings. I repent and ask you to forgive me. Please protect my blessings and give me power to use my blessings wisely and for your glory. Keep your mighty hand against my enemies so that they cannot opress me any longer. I forgive all those who have hurt me. I even ask you to save my enemies. And Please save my soul from death. I believe you will do these things for me and keep me from all pride. Thank you Father of Lord Jesus.

Agreement And Blessing of Peace

I agree with all those who are drawn by God to pray this prayer. If it is in God's plan to restore the blessings you lost and to save your soul you will begin to experience changes in your life and circumstances. Please be faithful and follow the Lord all the way. I now bless you with peace from God the Father and the Prince of Peace, the Lord Jesus.

My working experience started in Guyana. In 1970 I completed an electrician apprenticeship there. My main occupations in Canada were: Electric motor repairs,
Telecommunications technician and home based Import/Export Mail order business owner.

I laboured as assistant pastor while I was working as a Telecommunications technician. After that I had my own ministry. Right now I am retired. I am still teaching and preaching but without an official business or non-profit organization. Most of my ministry is done in my home.

My favourite thing to do is to read. I also do cleaning and cooking. When necessary, I fix our car.

Some of these I do not really like to do at times. That is when I would think how pleasant it would have been if the Lord had given me servants to do them. Well, I would talk to the Lord sometimes about it and not getting answers from Him, I would console myself with the thought that it's all coming one day. I know for sure that for a thousand years here on earth it will be that I will have many servants. Many times the Lord Jesus would answer me with hymns or songs, and the work would be accomplished with peace, strength and joy. Then at other times I would end up praying in the spirit or singing in the spirit and overcome the negative feelings.
