1. Invite Them to Church |
| If you donīt feel ready to directly witness to others about salvation, you can begin by inviting them to church, to a regular service or a special one, like when guest singers will be there. Before you invite them, pray to ask in the right spirit. Let them know you care about them. Never be pushy or offensive; leave the door open for another time if they donīt accept your invitation now. |

2. Sit Near Them |
| Attending a new church for the first time can be intimidating for the visitor. Make sure any visitor you have invited has a seat near you and doesnīt feel alone. Donīt place them in front of you, as they may feel you are watching them throughout the service. Beside you or behind you would be better. |

3. Make Them Feel Welcome |
After service -- and before if there is time -- introduce your church visitor to other members to make them feel welcome. No one wants to return to a cold church full of cold people! If possible, inform friends ahead of time that your visitor is coming, and tell them a bit about your guest so they can have something in common to talk about.

4. Ask Questions |
| A good opener when witnessing to others is to ask a question. Ask about their church background or how they feel about some recent news. If itīs someone you just met, you can ask about their personal background -- the place they grew up or their occupation. Then you can go on to ask about their church affiliation. After that, you can share your own experience of accepting Christ as Saviour. |

5. Live It Yourself |
It has been said, "The only Bible some people will read is you." The best way to witness for Christ is to live what you believe. If your life shows joy, peace, faith, etc., people will want to know why. Then you can tell them itīs because of what the Lord Jesus Christ has done in your own heart.

6. Be Sincere |
When sharing your faith in Christ, be sincere. Not so much with your words as with your friendship. For example, share a Christmas treat with a neighbor -- with no strings attached. Whether they respond to your witness or invitation to church, do it again. I know a lady and her husband who have faithfully made Thanksgiving pies for their neighbors for more than 20 years. Several of those neighbors now are Christians and serving the Lord, all because of that coupleīs faithfulness in making pies!

7. Be Soul Conscious |
People you know die every day; the old, the young. At best, life on earth is only temporary. We need to be conscious that NOW is the only time we have to tell others about heaven and how to get there. Ask God to make you "soul conscious" and give you a sincere burden for those you meet along lifeīs way. As a Christian, YOU are the one who knows that Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (Jn. 14:6)Introduce others to Him whenever the Holy Spirit gives you opportunity!
