Wow, what a promise. Just think, if we are giving thanks to God, He will give us our hearts desires.
Do you believe it?
I do.
You mean if I give thanks to God He will give me a happy marriage, the latest ipad, that sporty car I want? No, you missed the mark.
What do you really desire? Really it is to be loved and to be happy isn’t it?

You know I see so many people today who laugh about belief in God and work hard to get all the toys they can. When I look into their eyes I see the saddest people I have ever met.
To be free is to put justice, truth and service to others over and above our personal gain or our need for recognition, power, honor and success. When we cling to personal power and success, when we are afraid of loosing social status, then we are in some way denying our humanity; we become slaves to our own needs, we are not free. Jean Vanier
On the other hand I have seen people who love God and are always grateful for every thing He has done for them, no matter how big or small. They are the happiest people I have ever met.

You know why?
It’s because we know we have an awesome God who always loves us and blesses us no matter what. He shows us the way to live a happy and grateful life. And, that can never be taken away from us. THAT is what makes us the happiest people in the world.

Of course there is the greatest gift our Heavenly Father has given us. It is forgiveness of our sins and a Holy Advocate (Jesus Christ) that paves the way for our unmerited adoption into the most incredible family there every was, is or will be. We are our loving Heavenly daddies beloved children. Just think of the wonderful unlimited love He has for us. Now doesn’t that make you heart dance with joy and gratitude?

And finally, you know what? He has a special job just for you. When you give your life to Christ to use, He will give you a service that only you can fulfill. Wow, talk about job satisfaction huh?
