My text for the day-"he who foreknew you also predestined you"

It's amazing how the smallest little nudge from a great God can change our day or even week or even our lifes direction. This evening I was setting up two VCR's, one upstairs and one downstairs. Ofcourse, that means the God channel, I am a 'mature' christian so I try not to get too involved in 'whatever' is on the christian channel, because I already have a close walk with God, I know most stuff; right? whilst tunning up the videos I can't stop listening to a seemingly hysterical woman preaching her heart out! She's repeating the words "God has sent me here to day to tell you there's gunna be a complete turn around in your circumstances" she then goes on to say " your later days will exceed your former days". I'm trying my hardest to tune her out whilst tunning up the videos, but I can't, I just can't ignore this woman. To make matters worse it's a fund raiser, so now I'm really mad at myself for getting sucked in, but still I can't stop listening.

Let me give you some background on my life over the past 3 or so years. Four years ago I lived in Bristol, england. Pretty much completly out of church, living a semi homosexual lifestyle, drinking a fair amount of alcahol, performing profane stand up comedy and generaly not living a holy life. During my working nights at a hotel I meet a an American girl, we spend days together, she goes back to USA and I learn shortly aferwards I am to become a father.

Back to my story of this evening (29th Oct 05). I can't shake this message coming through the excited preacher womwan. Then I finally realize God himself is using this time and person to get my attention. Sometimes it's all just about our relationship with him.

I'll think I'll stop there, I need to go spend time with my main man-God.

UPDATE>It's been a couple of weeks now, but I have to admit I really did have a divine encounter with God that night. Since then I've formulized my plans to attend bible school part time, I even did my second ever formal speaking engagement last week (to our church).It was great, I spoke from Daniel 6 vs 1-10, I didn't even mention 3 men and a angel -in a fire, or lions dens, or king neb-u-can-never-speller. Instead I spoke on the subject of spiritual warfare, the way Satan finds people with grievances or unhealthy causes to try and depose the people of God from thier predestined victory. In the above scripture Daniels foes were jealous (Resentful or bitter in rivalry; envious: jealous of the success)- so plotted a scam. What was our friend Dan's reaction to all this dark nonsense- He kept on doing everything the way he was directed from God! I'm I preaching or teaching here. Back soon
