 Rev. Robert LeBuhn has been in the Home Missions ministry for the past 25 years, and has worked in Missions all across the United States. As a much accomplished Chef winning 18 gold culinary awards he knows the high life. As a person who lived on the streets of Atlanta for nearly a year he also knows the bottom side of life. He put himself there for a reason: He was saved, and given a commission to introduce those he met to Jesus Christ. Over the years he has been the Family Care Counselor for the Greenville Rescue Mission, Kitchen Manager for the Atlanta Union Mission, Food and Kitchen Manager for the Hebron Colony in Boone, N.C., Educational director for the Seattle Union Mission, Exec Director of the Charlotte Rescue Mission, Kitchen Manager and Coordinator for the Winston Salem Rescue Misson. The reason for leaving each of these ministries was (in Bobby's words)... "Our job is to work ourselves out of work. So many lives....introduce them to Jesus Christ...He will do the rest, that is the overwhelming idea. We have to introduce and teach those who are saved how to walk with our wonderful Master who shed His blood and life for us. Many missions just teach those saved how to work, but neglect the hands up and teaching that our Lord Jesus Christ has commissioned us to do.( paraphrased)"If you love me, feed my sheep, if you love me, teach my sheep." When we lived in Idaho, Bobby worked at the Boise Rescue Mission as the head of Food Services. He was also preaching some of the chapel sermons, and teaching Bible Studies for the Programmers, the part he loves best. Preaching and teaching is where Bobby's heart is at, and he really enjoyed being back in the ministry work that he loves so much, after spending the previous 2 years operating our little cafe, the Cajun Kitchen Buffet in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
We then moved to Alabama to be close to my daughter, Robin. Bobby has worked in several of the restaurants here, including Landrys Seafood, Tim's Cajun Kitchen,Valley Hill Country Club,Westin Hotel, and is now working part-time at Grille 29. He has been talking to the Downtown Rescue Mission about his idea of starting a culinary class for the residents there. This would allow the students to learn a trade so they can get a good position cooking. If people have the Mission do their catering for weddings and banquets, then the donation payment would be deductible for them, and the Mission would have en extra income source that would be ongoing. Everyone comes out a winner ! ! Bobby is a natural teacher, and this is just what he would love to be doing, and we have been praying for a ministry position somewhere. E-Sword has many versions of the Bible as well as several commentaries and Strong's concordance for free download to your computer. This is Bobby's favorite page, and he likes it for the Mission Programmers to study with since it has all the references they need, and doesn't get lost like a book could.
Something new I found is Freecycle.(think free-recycle) It is local groups of people that have something to give away or something they would like to have.Go to the main page and find your closest home group. This is cool and free !!

WELCOME to The LeBuhn's Home Page!!
I am the one from Idaho, my parents (Floyd & Winnie Smith)lived on a farm in Paradise Valley when I was born, and my Dad was born and raised right in the Bonners Ferry area , so I am a true Idaho native.
My folks helped start the REA electrical co-op here, and moved to Sandpoint when my Dad became one of the first linemen for Northern Lights,Inc. (For more information, see the Idaho4 link below). My skills are in Customer Service, Public Relations, and Sales of all sorts. My newest hobby is taking pictures with my new camera and editing them in my photoshop. I love living in the South, and not having to wade through all that snow in the winter, or having to shovel out the walkways. Flowers bloom all winter here, and the gardening season is longer.  Here is a picture of our little home, that we just rented this spring. It is a really small little house, but we have started the garden and have flowers and veggies growing here now, and a good fenced yard for the dogs. As Christians, Bobby and I believe that we are definitely in the End Times, and are literally seeing Bible prophesy happening in the world every day. It seems like the mainstream news does not always carry all the stories of what is actually going on, and I (Yvonne) enjoy looking through some of the webpages that focus on these endtime events. I am making a special section here of some of my favorite links........some are Christian-oriented, some are not,but you will find endtime views and news here.. We have now been here in Alabama for almost 4 years, and overall, we really like it. Bobby is still hoping and praying for that Ministy opening somewhere to happen, and meanwhile using his cooking skills while waiting for the Lord to provide a place for him to preach and teach and work with the homeless.
I have been praying for my son, Michael, who lives on the West Coast, to move out here close to us, and they are really thinking about that move. It has been a while since I have seen them, and Leslie has relatives in Tennessee, so it might be a good move for them also.  My Daughter, Robin.......I love this girl ! ! VACCINES
When I was a girl growing up out in North Idaho, almost none of the children had vaccinations. It was a once a year thing at the school, and you had to bring a note from your parents if they wanted you to have any shots. Everybody had a dog or cat, too, and none of these animals ever had shots for anything, and we pretty much all grew up healthy without them, surviving the usual bouts with mumps and measles. Now, you aren't even allowed to send your children to public school unless they have vaccinations, and even our pets are supposed to have them. I have read many articles on the internet concerning the dangers of what is put into the vaccinations, and the illnesses that can come from taking them. This webpage is one of the finest I have seen in presenting the issue, and I wholeheartedly recommend reading it. |
