Women's World Day of Prayer In 1887 Mary Ellen James called for a day of prayer, it sparked a movement where women from around the world dedicate a special time for prayer. Now many generations later, women still pray for God's guidance and blessings on their lives and their world.

Women's Day Our moms, sisters, and grandmothers are all, you guessed it, women! But this special day is not like Mother's Day or Grandmother's Day, it is designed to celebrate the success of women worldwide that have fought to send sexism against women. In fact, this day is even recognized by the UN.

Employee Day Let's hope your boss celebrates this day by giving all his employees a big fat raise in pay. If you are an employee you can fully appreciate this notion, if you are a boss, why not?

Saint Patrick's Day In our office if you do not come to work wearing green you get a pinch from the boss' secretary. Larry who works in accounting forgot one year and he got the pinching of a lifetime.
About St. Patrick, being sold into slavery at a young age, St. Patrick (then known as Maewyn) found himself listening to God's call. He then was trained in a monastery and dedicated his life to teaching pagans about Jesus. He also was said to have driven all the snakes out of Ireland, but have you ever heard of an Irish snake?
Spring Begins Us who live on the Northern Hemisphere love this day, it marks the end of cold winter and the introduction of a warm summer. Ask a scientist, he can tell you the precise moment where the sun actually crosses the Earth's equator, known as vernal equinox. Australians probably do not like this day very much.

North American Wildlife Celebration Day City folk usually don't see deer and beavers crossing their driveways, some take special trips out into the country just to catch a glimpse of something running around in the bush. God made every creature, big and small, for a purpose, and He even told us to monitor and take care of them. I guess driving some into extinction was probably not a good idea. Check with your local zoo to see if they have anything special planned this day, and if not, tell them to get on it.

Passover Celebrated by the Jews this day reminds us how God lead the Jews out of captivity in Egypt into a nation all their own. A good reminder to all of us how He leads us out of trouble every day.

Maundy Thursday Otherwise known as the day of the Last Supper, it is also the day Christ washed the disciple's feet. It is a command that we should serve one another. Some churches celebrate this day by giving money to the needy, how can you serve others on this day?
