Flag day (USA)
Americans are very patriotic, so when it came to celebrating their country's independence on July 4th one school teacher named BJ Cigrand thought it wasn't enough. He then started a special day just to celebrate the stars and stripes that make up the national flag for the USA. This celebration caught on and the rest is history, Flag Day.

International Day of the African Child
1976 marks a black day in history. Thousands of African children took to the streets in protest of their sub par education system. A riot then ensued and hundreds were killed. The International Day of the African Child is a special day to remember the courage of those children who stood up for their human right to a good education and how the more fortunate can help out.

Father's Day
A whole industry of crazy ties, golf accessories and wacky tools exists solely because of this day. A day to honor our fathers exists because of the great leadership and support our fathers have given to us all these years. So weather you are still a child or a father of your own, let your dad know how special he is to you, and maybe get him that piano tie he has had his eye on all these years.
