Here is the gist of it.We have been told that we will be persecuted,and killed by the wholesale lots in the reign of the antichrist.

We will be unable to buy or sell anything.

What i am curious about is just what we are supposed to do about it?

In terms of resistance to being slaughtered,are we allowed to return fire so to speak.?

Or do we react passively to the horror to be visited upon us and Isreal.?I realize we are supposed to love our enemies,etc etc.But when they come to march us to the guilotines,do we go like lambs to the slaughter?or like the jews to the death camps?

Do we take no active role in defending ourselves and our loved ones from certain death?I see where there will be some who flee to the wilderness,where God will sustain them but does that mean they wont have to fight to stay alive?

Yes i understand,that it is not our way to take life,but even Gods chosen committed genocide in the promised land on heavenly instructions.as well as defended themselves as best they could when attacked,and with Gods help slew a great many enemies at times.

Exactly what is expected of us if we are alive at that time.?

We know that there will be millions beheaded for their faith,but do they go to the gallows without lifting a finger to stop it?

Not much is said about what we are supposed to actually do while all this killing of our loved ones goes on around us.

I realize that we are against killing ,but human weakness being what it is,i dont think i can walk to the guilotine voluntarily without some mighty help from the Holy Spirit.I think my instincts would not allow me to do that without Gods hand on my shoulder,and even then what about all the kids and women and old people we are bound by instinct to protect?

The pressure will be great to fight back even if it is just forstalling the inevitable for a second.

I know Isreal will fight back.it says so.Does that mean it ok for us to fight back too?

We will probably die anyways but it is not in mans nature to go willingly.Now,i have never killed anyone yet,but cant imagine not making some move either fight or flight.

Concerning your question as to resistance…if we fight, that is resist this death then we are fighting against GOD HIMSELF as the following Scriptures make plain.





Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

Rev 13:4 And they worshiped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Rev 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

But let me ask you a question, when you travel by plane to a destination when do you board the plane for the flight?



Before you get to the airport or after you have arrived at the airport and been processed for boarding?



As it is with boarding the airplane to fly somewhere we do not board the plane until we are going to take off so it will be in that day; GOD will give us what ever we need when we need it to face these events HE has Ordained.

Hi there cootski,i was afraid it would be that for us and really expected your answer (from others too).

I sure hope that the Holy Spirit will give us the will to do as you say.Because i have always been a proactive and not a reactive person it will be the hardest thing to go through i can imagine.(and suicide is considered murder so i was hoping to at least go out scrapping with the anti christ rather than passively.)But have always figured it would have to be as you say for those of us who are still here when the balloon goes up.

You see the dillemma....it is going to be.But the jews will fight ,and are expected to.(i was hoping it was the christians who would be the ones helping with a little help.)You know the verse i am speaking of...

Yes I believe I do know the verses you speak of they are in the book of Daniel:



Dan 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.



Dan 11:33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.



If these in fact are the verses you refer too, I believe you will find, if you care to do the research, that these verses were fulfilled by the Maccabeans in 165 BCE when



Antiochus IV Epiphanes, a type of the antiChrist who will come at the end of this age, desecrated the Temple at Jerusalem by sacrificing a pig on the Altar and stopping the daily sacrifice.



the Maccabeans led the resistance against this infidel and restored the daily sacrifice on the 25th of Kislev.



But they only had one day's worth of oil for the Menorah which must burn continuously and by a miracle of GOD the one days worth of oil lasted 8 days until more oil arrived to replenish it.



The Maccabeans victory and the miracle of the Menorah burning for eight days on one days supply of oil is yearly celebrated by our Jewish brethren as Hanukkah.



It is a wondrous history to research and a lot of it can be done on line at various sites. The best of which I have found are religious in nature.



Simply Google Antiochus IV Epiphanes or the Maccabeans you may also find some published books on this subject at your local library.



This deliverence and resistance took place under the Old Testament covenant.



Under the New Covenant instituted thru the Shed Blood of our LORD JESUS THE CHRIST COME IN THE FLESH we are given a new instruction which is "FOLLOW ME".



And as HE suffered the Cross WITH OUT RESISTANCE to fulfill the WILL of GOD HIS FATHER so we also must stand and be sheep for the slaughter to Fulfill the will of our FATHER GOD AT THE END OF THIS DAY.



Now contrast this Old Testament resistance of the Maccabeans with the flight of the True Israel at the end of this age into the wilderness when the antiChrist breaks the covenant and sits up the abomination of desolation.



This time Israel flees rather then fight.



GOD says HE has a place prepared for her in the wilderness and when Satan's Army sent to catch her is swollowed by the earth Satan then turns his attention to the Christians.



Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.



As for the flesh wanting to fight, to resist, yes our Lord experienced the same desire until HE KNEW the WILL OF HIS FATHER then HE sit HIS face and endured the Cross.



Perhaps one of the more amazing Scriptures is the following.



Heb 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;



To think our Lord the Very SON of GOD HIMSELF had to learn obedience and not just obedience but the obedience of suffering the Cross is to me truly amazing.



And if HE needed to learn this hard lesson how much more I.

The teaching that God/ Jesus and the Spirit are one.?It seems that they are not equal then by what you quoted.(you know the part where it is taught and commonly held that the trinity are one being,the three being equal parts or however you wish to describe it,of the creator?I mention it because i was banned from a forum,for making a remark that this doctrine does not seem to make sense,Thus (they told me negated my participating in their forum aanymore because what i said was (un -nicene).(as in Nicene Creed.)you could pm me if you like.
