How do you deal with a friend who leaves her husband (of 27 yrs) a true man of God because she could not live the lie any longer, and cannot live with the pressures and expectations of ministry?

Hi Marya,
I just noticed your post asking "how do you deal...?". In order to give any suggestions on this without knowing more about the situation would be somewhat like a doctor writing a prescription before finding out what the patient's symtoms are. However the question would sound as though help is needed. If you feel comfortable posting additional information here you may. Or if you would prefere you may also contact me directly at thecountrydoc@cox.net.
I look forward to comunicating with with you about this matter.

Difficult and very unfortunate yet the bible does cover that very area. Forbidden by Christ except for adultery
Matthew 5:32; 19:9
I hope that the information here will provide you with the understanding you need, God bless ! Please continue to pray for your friend and his family. If you believe he or she needs a friend at this time who will be there for him please send them my way, I am a minister as well, married with 6 children, but am also like a pastors - pastor. Oh Dear,
It sounds like your friend needs for her husband to start talking to her about what is privately between them, not others. Pastors wives need to be treated like wives and lovers as often as possible, to keep their marriages intact.
Not every woman is marriage material for a pastor, but it sounds like they've been married for a long time by todays standards. I think that this is very serious and he needs to actively pursue his wife. He must run after her.
My father was a pastor and something very similar happened between himself and my mother. They ended up staying together. I have almost too much to say about this, so, I will wait and see if you share a bit more information.
