Hi Sarah,

I've tried to watch several of the movies offered on this site but when I do the sound precedes the action on the screen by at least a second. So everything is out of sync and i'm not able to watch anything. I'm not computer savvy enough to know if it's something in my pc or something on your site that causes this. I do know when I watch a movie from my Netflix cue the sound is in sync with the video. Can you explain this for me? Thanks.

My nephew happened to be over at the house for the evening, and my father and I watched the movie Facing the Giants with him. Even though the movie starts a little slowly, it has a great Christian plot and message that any teen should enjoy. Because he is into sports in a big way and the move is about a football team, he really enjoyed it.

2) The African Queen
3) The Angel and the Bad Man ( Make sure you get the one with John Wayne in it. There is another one out with the same name that is not nearly as good.)

Went to see Les Miserables yesterday 12/1/13, (first day of general screening). Cried all the way through. What a profoundly inspired rendition of the theater production. I could not fault it. Even better than on stage. A powerful presentation of Victor Hugo's Theological allegory dealing with the difference between 'Law' and 'Grace', played out in the lives of his characters. Profound and moving, works on so many different levels.

If you get the chance to see it, it is a "MUST NOT MISS". The longest running "musical" theater production in history is now the most emotionally moving cinema experience I have ever had. I cannot rate it highly enough. My wife and I are going to see it again on Monday. It was THAT good.

In our lives there has been a renewed realization that the Bible is not just black words on white paper but the expressions of a real and living Jesus who thrills in getting involved in our lives.
We were down several thousand dollars on property tax and were within 24 hours of having it our property) being sold off the tax rolls and in this period and the days before the answer came we had a relationship with this real Jesus that goes beyond description and the few hours before the deadline on the tax bill we paid not with borrowed dollars but with dollars you might say that was dropped off by the local raven.
TV is a play thing, a time consumer that is best used in the study of the kingdom.
In the last few months we have found our TV time has gone from 8-12 hours per day to 2 hours most of the time, but we have the reality that Jesus lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the bedroom may I suggest a good use of a TV. Using a simple-to-run slide show program have all your hundreds of scanned family photos showing constantly. My wife and I love to recapture precious moments, remembering the years of our youth, while treasuring the captures of the latest new youth of our children and grandchildren. We've included photos of our "Godchilds" the Lord let us lead to Jesus. It makes for some fine personal moments at the end of the day, concluded with prayers of concern and of hope.

I have found that television programming has gone so far downhill that I almost can't stand to watch or listen to it because most of it is absolutely repulsive to me. I can't afford the cable anymore otherwise I would have religious programming going as well like StandingFirm had mentioned. News broadcasts made me anxious to the point where I was a nervous wreck all the time. It's much more peaceful at home now. I too read a lot and I enjoy it.

I want to congratulate you on this also. It is a wonderful move. We have TV, but we have taken it out of the bedroom. :) Someone (I forget which teacher it was) suggested keeping TV as well as all business and serious talk out of the bedroom and we have done that for years. That way we can focus soley on each other and not on outside influences before sleep.

Facing the Giants starring Alex Kendrick is available on-demand in the Movies category here on Praize. Alex also stars in Flywheel (on in Praize Movies also) as well as in Courageous which will be on Praize when available.

Clancy, Letters to God (part 1 & 2), Come What May, & The Perfect Gift are movies that are appropriate for young children, too.

Please enjoy the rest of the great Christian films as well as some old Hollywood productions from the 1930's & 40's.

The first is about a high school football coach and the second is about a group of police officers. Both are evangelical in nature.
