You could pray silently. I always do. There really is no reason to disrupt everything by praying loud outloud because if you do they will bug you.

Hey all,

I go to public school and have since grade 2. I really don't like all the bad things, but sometimes it's pretty neat. You get to witness to people and things like that. Liz, nice to see you in here.

One thing I wanted to say was don't sit around and be christian all by yourself. You have to do it openly, show people what you believe in. My teacher assigned us this book called 1984 and I hated it at first, but then I thought about what it meant. It was about two people totally against their government. See, their government was a socialist government and they weren't allowed to do anything on their own. One was quiet and did whatever she wanted anyways and the other was loud and wanted to do something about the way it was run. In the end, he knew he had threatened the government, but the girl just did exactly what the government wanted and disappeared. I hope I am making sense. The point is just because you are christian you are not bugging satan unless you are trying actively to tear down his territory. So...please tell your friends and live openly for Christ. Don't just be "tolerant" of all religions.

Father in heaven. I thank you for these dear young ladies who describe themselves as Epic Public School students.Father I just thank you right naw that they are Christians and accept you as their personal Lord and Saviour.

Father you have heard their complaint on life in Public School.School Bullying has been with us since man discovered the need to attend an institution of learning.Father give them the strength to go through this and overcome. Help them to thank God that they are the ones being bullied and not the bully themselves. It shows that Jesus is alive in their lives and says a lot for their Christian witness.Help them to understand that it is God´s will for them to be educated in Publis School.Father we thank you because it is not about money, it´s about being a witness for Christ wherever we are.Holy Spirit.Reveal to them who they are in Christ Jesus and place importance on that.Fill them both with your Holy Spirit so that they will have the wisdom to know how to talk to their classmates.Father give them that inner peace and discerment.

Father help them to realise the reason why they are islolated is because the World needs Jesus and because satan has messed this world up. They are offended at what it takes to be free.Father I cover the Public Schools with the blood of Jesus right now, the Students, the Parents, the Guardians, the staff and their families,Friends and neighbours.Father help us to be more patient and to pray without ceasing for their Salvation and a move of the Holy Spirit.Father in Heaven.Whatever the past of these students or those responsible are steeped in I cover it with the blood of Jesus right now.Grant them healing and deliverance to break those Generational Strongholds over their lives.

I pray that through this simple prayer souls will be won for the kingdom of God.Lord I thank for these young ladies who started this thread. For they will never know what the Holy Spirit will reveal to them that love him.THROUGH THE POWER IN PRAYER.

Father just begin to prepare the hearts of those attending public School to recieve Jesus.Father I believe and thank you for spiritual conception, leading to knowing you has started right naw.Thank you for saving the vilest sinner/saintly sinner. In Jesus name.Amen.

thank you for your prayer. My advice is to stay strong in God. Keep your faith. He will never let you down. One of my favorite songs contains these words in the chorus: My God has never let me down. My God has turned my world around. He loves me even though I know I don't deserve Him. My God will never turn away. He's with me every single day."

I've gone to a public school every year since I've had to go to school. It's truely not that bad...if you do a few things. Always be on your gaurd, satan will try and distract you with all the worldly things that go on there. Try and find a group of christian people that you can hang out with...maybe start a group after or before school (probably not on school property if your American) And always always pray, whenever you can, there's absolutly no way that administration can stop you from doing that.

Hi Epic!!!

I'm sorry to hear that you are made fun of because you are a Christian...but remember what Jesus said...the world hated him before it hated us...also think about how many lost people you can touch in a public school...Christians need to be where the lost people are, not to say everyone in Christian schools are saved, but they are hearing the gospel...also real life isn't a Christian environment...and some Christian schools face the same problems as public schools, so be encouraged in Christ Epic and keep on goin , it is tough, but you will get a great blessing for it.

There had been a few teachers who'd discovered a way to work with the population however they were a handful so turnover turned into and is excessive. Compared to environments at other colleges I actually have taught at, this became just not an area have been mastering became taken seriously by means of the sizable majority which includes students and instructors. My normal scholar had no useful circle of relatives and no plan for their future.

Hi Chris.

This is another advertisement for a website that sells research papers, etc. I just hope the poster is not also the author...

Thanks, Jeanne. I wondered what this was and where it came from. It is a good topic, and the writers seemed to be handling it well. The fact that it was written fourteen years ago makes the topic pretty unimportant unless someone is writing that has the problem today. I also thought the advice was good. It would be great if it brought back some of the younger writers!

jeanne: Hi

Ahhh! Now I see it.

Well I certainly would not employ her company to write any essay for ME. She can't even elucidate in English herself, (as her example aptly demonstrates). If all her clients get similar incomprehensible rubbish written for them I predict a long queue of complainants outside her office when they get 'failed' in English.

Hi, Chris,
I find the same problems in the people I have seen advertising to do writing for others. Their ads are a mess: misspellings, poor grammar, etc., etc. I wonder why so many people think that it is an easy field to work in. I feel especially sorry for those who hire them. What a waste of money!

I can remember writing a particular college term paper. I have no idea what the subject was, but it would drive today's scholars crazy! I had ten or twelve BOOKS open on the desk in front of me to various pages as I typed on my portable typewriter. Remember, in the old days we didn't have computers where you could easily erase any error or even told us where the errors were! We had to write something out then read it over several times using a pen or pencil to correct errors and then retype. None of this having the computer correct my misspellings or other errors. In a way, I miss it. Some things were not so bad then. You actually had to learn something to get a passing grade. And most of us wrote papers ourselves. Even if we didn't like a subject, we tried and we cared. And most of us had more important things on which to spend our money: like food or bills. It wasn't such a bad time to live.

Hi Chris and Sarah.

Chris, note the url of the website...the UK; tsk, tsk.

But, actually, the person who creates and sends this posts all over is just a flunky, like many hundreds of others, who make little pay and most obviously not writing in their native tongue. If I had to write in another language, I doubt I would do as well.

It may not even be a site for selling papers, but a phishing attempt to get some people to click on the link, thus enabling information stealing. Even if a small fraction of the people who read this ad click the link, it is apparently worth it in potential monetary rewards for the owners of the site.

Then consider this, people who do that are already clueless and looking for an easy fix to their problem of writing a paper, so...not to bright, perhaps. Why worry about writing coherently for clueless people? Hire really cheap labor and hope to get several hundred hits from an hour of their work?

Sarah, you are correct. It was much better when we had to really stretch our brains to compose a paper and sweat over manual typewriters and piles of research material. How I miss the the card catalog... Just in case anyone has forgotten or didn't know, the card catalog in the libraries were files of book listings on cards utilizing the Dewey Decimal System (I think) and how to find them in the library. The computer system still vexes me and I gave it up long ago, merely searching in the general area, hoping to find the book. Or...asking the library assistant to find it.

I was talking with my son the other day and he was telling me that he and his siblings fall into an "age" category between the millennials and generation X. From 1973 to 1985 there are a bunch of people who did not grow up with all the bells and whistles but who learned with their parents to apply them to life. These things came new during their youth and so they get their own age group name. I am sure somebody knows what it is. He also places the technological switch with the loss of the card catalog; nothing has been the same since. Laugh

Sarah, I was reading an excellent article in National Review concerning religious liberty in the US. I will search for the page and set a link on a new post with a paragraph of the article. It is a renewed wake-up call for all who agree that things have gone awry.

I will look forward to reading the article. Things have definitely gone awry, but those under 45 have no idea because they don't know what they have missed out on! They may call us old or stupid, etc., but probably don't even know what "etc." stands for! I would hate to be brought up in this generation!

I feel very intelligent for knowing so many things that my great grandchildren, and maybe even my grandchildren, will never know. Soon no one will even know what a "stick shift" is! How sad is that? And I'm sure they never know what it means to "double clutch"!! And yet they call us stupid!
