Hello Rdrcofe, thanks for the reply.

One thing I’ve learned is various Christians seem to have adifferent interpretation/opinion on various issues concerning God. Your versionof Christianity appears much simpler than the version I was taught; if Iunderstand you correctly it is your opinion that by just simply believing makesyou saved. Problem with that is all those pedophiles, rapist, and murderers,Hitler’s, Nazis and Klansmen who just so happen to believe are also saved. Thepeople I learned from didn’t want those people to be considered in the fold asGod’s saved so even though they didn’t say “works/behavior is important, theycertainly gave the impression that a change in behavior was necessary in orderto be saved.

I was always told that going to church, singing in thechoir, or just being a good Christian doesn’t make you saved. It appeared whatqualifies as saved is often up for debate, but once you are saved you will knowit. That is what I was aiming for.

Now keep in mind, the only reason I was forced to listen toeverybody else is because even though I asked, God never communicated to me ina way that I could recognize; so i did the best I could under thecircumstances; learned from those who claimed to be saved.

Once I made my mind up, I began to read, study, pray, andeverything I knew to get saved and that is what led me away from Christianity andeventually to where I am now.
