Questions about demons
Hey Guys,
So, I am a christian.. I've experienced some weird things in my life.. I used to work in a hospital as a security guard, and there were a few places in the hospital that were creepy..
The basement looked like it was from a horror movie. And I could feel a weird presence there..
There was one section when I went to go lock a door, and I heard footsteps and a cart being pushed.. I went to check to see if anyone was there, and the noise stopped, and nothing was there. I continued locking doors, and I heard the footsteps again, this time it was walking away..
Anyways, I don't believe in ghosts. I believe that everyone who dies, shouldn't have any unfinished business, because God is in control of everyone's lives. That's what I think, correct me if I am wrong.
I've experienced more crazy stuff too.. and it's almost like it were ghosts, but I know it's not.
What are evil emities? Are they demons / polterguist? Are they such things as those?
I'm curious about excorcisms.. I find them interesting.. I love documentaries about Excorisms.. Is that wrong?

There is a real spiritual world all around us that we normally cannot see. God's angels as well as Satan's demons. Those purported to be the "dearly departed" are Satan's demons impersonating dead people. "Ghosts" are also Satan's demons. As Believers we have power through the Holy Spirit to overcome the enemy. We don't need to fear these demons but we need to be aware that if we are weak in our faith Satan will step up his attacks in an attempt to get us to live in fear and reject God. Only you know the strength of your faith. I spent years as a security officer myself and know that night work can get to be "spooky" if we let our minds conjure up all kinds of weird thoughts. Those thoughts can contribute to what we think we hear.

Angels and demons are definitely part of our world, whether one believes in them or not. I regularly pray for angels to protect my family members and the Blood of Jesus over them. Demons often dwell in basements and attics... I think partly because they are dark and partly because in the "old days" that is where people often committed sin. These days houses don't have attics OR basements... at least in the western USA, so the demons have become much more obvious.

The fact that you had this experience should make you aware that demons ARE real and if you are smart, you will prayerfully protect yourself and your loved ones.
Blessings ~ Sarah

Hey guys!

Thanks for your answers! Yes, I believe in Angels and Demons.
But I was just wondering.. Ok, this is a dumb question, but I think I know the answer.. There are no such things as ghosts, right? I mean, when someone dies, they don't (or they soul doesn't) become a ghost, right? Or can they?

I must say, I totally agree with your answer, Bob, but let me include a litle ditty here.. I agree that your mind plays games with you. But when I was in that part of my hospital by myself, I was too busy focusing on the places I had to be to lock up doors. I wasn't thinking about ghosts at all, because at the time, I thought ghosts were not real.
Then of course, on that stupid day, I had lights flicker on and off on me. I kept saying out loud, 'It's just an old building.." And then, later on, I had a locked door swing open on me.. I went back later to check, and the bolt was sticking straight up.. So it was locked the whole time. After that experience, I had an interest / curiosity about ghosts.

There are two mistakes that folks can make about demons and the supernatural.

1) To dismiss it all as bunk and become ignorant dupes unknowingly manipulated by forces they deny exist.

2) To be morbidly fascinated by it, ensnared and unwittingly themselves used by what they foolishly sought to use for themselves.

Ghosts may indeed exist and are probably not all 'demonic' in origin. Many seem to be imprinted on physical places and locations where some traumatic incident has occurred. For instance untimely deaths in times past. The Church has long understood this phenomenon and has time honored methods of releasing these souls and directing them to their proper place. Eccl. 12:7

It is a ministry best left to those who are called to it and not meddled with by novices or the merely idly curious.

As far as the ordinary believer is concerned there is no better protection than prayer and faith in Jesus Christ, who has put all the forces of darkness under his feet.

Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. As it is, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him. But we see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for every one. For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering. Heb. 2:8-

Just because at the present time 'we do not see everything in subjection to Jesus', does not at all mean that everything is not actually subject to him.

This is why 'faith' is such a powerful weapon against that which appears not to be subject to Jesus Christ and the legitimate commands of those who serve him.

Best advice therefore : Don't mess with things we don't understand and place our trust in Jesus Christ who reigns supreme over all creation.

Regards Chris.
