Resist Temptation

Resist Temptation
Now that you are a follower of Jesus Christ, Satan is going to try to draw you away by tempting you to disobey God's Word. It is not a sin to be tempted- even Jesus was tempted (Luke 4:1-13). We sin when we give in to that temptation. The good news is that God will never let a temptation become so strong that we can't handle it. In addition, he has given us specific ways to handle temptation. Here are three things to remember when dealing with temptation.

1. Realize Who Is Tempting You. Sation is the mastermind behind all your temptations (see Ephesians 6:10-12.
2.Resist the Devil. The Bible says that if you resist Satan's enticements, he will flee from you (see James 4:7-8).
3.Rejoice Because Victory Is Yours in Christ Jesus. God promises that he will always provide a way of escape (see Corinthians 10:13).

God Bless You.

It was pre-cell phone days (1978) and I had just gotten saved. In those days we had CB radios in our cars and you could listen to people chatting without talking yourself, or you could take part in the conversation. I was driving home, listening to the CB and I heard my ex-boyfriend come on and give his location and where he was headed. I realized that our paths would intersect at the four-way stop sign that I was approaching. Now HERE was a temptation! I did not know what to do. There was no place to turn off. Outloud I said, "God, You are going to have to help me!" Well, I came to that four-way stop. Stopped and then travelled on through. Never saw him, never heard his voice again on the CB. I don't know what God did, but He certainly took away my temptation! Glory to God.

I hope some other Praize members will add testimonies of how they were delivered from temptation.
