If ever one had a question about the glory of Jesus, that song enforces it. It is a most beautiful thing to behold. It is more than a verse, more than a tune... It is a touch of Heaven.
Thanks for posting.

RogerJack, welcome to Praize forums!
You may have noticed that some of us call each other by our first names. We write to each other so much that it can be time consuming to use the longer Praize names.

Are you okay with being called Roger Jack? Or is just Roger okay?

I wanted to thank you for writing. I know it can be rather intimidating to post a blog here. So thank you for doing it. When no one posts, it makes me wonder if anyone is reading it. If you have any questions, click on Private Messages (the middle bar at the top) and send me a message to PraizeOP2.
Blessings ~ Sarah

RogerJack: Hi.

Welcome to Praize. In debate forums we are now a select, (and rather ageing), few but we enjoy wrangling if it reveals truth. Most other sites seem to tolerate trolls and so invite the less culturally and religiously intelligent sort of responder. In Praize, I'm pleased to say, you will get a big welcome and I hope you will participate. There is no limit on the number of words you can use to get others to understand your view on a subject. We all usually take some time to think before replying, so posts tend to be more thoughtful than in other sites.

I feel that all this makes Praize a good place to spend some time.

Regards Chris.

Jim: Hi

Blessed Assurance is a wonder hymn with profound lyrics.

Love it.

Also 'When I survey the Wondrous Cross', and 'O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing' are earworms worth having in your head and heart all day long.

My Aunt once told me, just before she departed this life, that she had the Sunday School hymn 'There's a Home for little children above the bright blue sky', frequently returning to her with images of her childhood. It brought her great comfort and an easy transition.

Regards Chris.

Guys...

Nobody looks this good and posts here. That should have been the first clue.

Here is RogerJack's "about me":

<<Hye this is Roger Jack from the United Kingdom, going about as substance maker, also, We give stunning assignments and other structure benefits in the UK. Close assignments, we in like way give a proposition, key examination, coursework, explore wind and theory papers. We beat needs in more than 60 fields like bookkeeping, programming controlling, building, understanding and so forth. By a wide margin, the more unmistakable piece of our duplicates is made with the high clear bowed for best outcomes.>>

His homepage is "write my assignment UK."

English as translated by a shoddy translator.

I love you, but... LaughLaughLaugh

Bless all your hearts. His avatar is a sight for old sore eyes, however. I hope the person in the photo is doing something dramatic with his good looks...and oh my, those eyes! Blush

Don't we have a laughing smilie that has tears running down its cheeks?

Whew!

jeanne: Hi

Laugh

I looked on his profile only after I posted, unfortunately. Couldn't be bothered to delete my reply to him though. Not that it matters at all, but, yes, I really also thought his Pic was just TOOO good to be true.

Is that English that he is writing? Seems like the 'Mandarinese' of some flim-flam, marketing, air brain to me.

I'm afraid it was a case of "Gentle as doves - wise as . . . . well - sheep" where we were concerned. Ah well. And we don't even have a emogi for embarrassed either. Laugh

ROTFL too. Laugh

Regards Chris.

The hymns and choruses we sing can have a profound affect on stimulating our faith and keeping us alive to God.

This is not to mean that each of us is not also good-looking or were good-looking or could look terrific with professional make-up, stylist and photographer...

Although I always tend to blur and close my eyes.

Jim, I am sorry that your topic got side-tracked. I have always loved the older hymns. Although, I have heard some beautiful music from current Christian groups that absolutely moves the "soul" of the listener, even me.

We have a friend, who sings the old hymns with a group and they are always busy traveling the area to church meetings and funerals and weddings and local events.

And...of course, the name of the group has flown from my mind at the moment. Oh well.
