Re: [newwine2550] Questions&Answers
Hi newwine2550:

Good quiz. Really tested the knowledge and the search engine.

Now Laban had gone to shear his sheep, and Rachel stole her father’s household gods. Gen. 31:19

So he released Barabbas for them; and after flogging Jesus, he handed him over to be crucified. Math. 27:26.

Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing. Mal. 3:10

Then Joshua and all Israel with him took Achan son of Zerah, with the silver, the mantle, and the bar of gold, with his sons and daughters, with his oxen, donkeys, and sheep, and his tent and all that he had; and they brought them up to the Valley of Achor. Joshua said, “Why did you bring trouble on us? The Lord is bringing trouble on you today.” And all Israel stoned him to death; Josh.7:21.

For you yourselves know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians. 5:2.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fire, and the earth and everything that is done on it will be disclosed. 2 Peter. 3:10.

Remember then what you received and heard; obey it, and repent. If you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come to you. Rev.3:3.

(“See, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and is clothed, not going about naked and exposed to shame.”). Rev.16:15.

Revelation can be considered an 'Epistle' because it was written and addressed as a 'letter' to seven churches.

But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was about to betray him), said, “Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and the money given to the poor?” (He said this not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief; he kept the common purse and used to steal what was put into it. John 12:3.

(Judas was paid from the treasury to deliver Jesus, he threw the money back but the priests would not return it because it had become 'blood money'. Math 27:6.

Regards Chris.
In Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us. 2 Cor. 5:19. Love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Pet.4:8b.
