I have a problem that wasn't answered here. What do I do?

I waited, but
never saw the security box, and got a message that read: "Please wait while
Praize Desktop downloads."
1. The security setting in your web browser is
set to "HIGH" (in which case the browser will never download the
application) or set to "LOW" (in which case the browser will
automatically accept the application without the security certificate). The
security certificate appears when the browser is set to the default of
"MEDIUM." In Internet Explorer, to check your security setting go to
Tools / Internet Options / and click on the Security tab. Make sure the security
level is set to "MEDIUM."
2. You previously downloaded a See
You Again Software product and checked the "Always Trust Content" box
on the security certificate. Therefore, the security certificate will be
automatically accepted and never appear again. If this is the case the search
box should have been successfully installed even though you did not see the security
certificate.
>> The following may also be
possibilities:
3. You have anti-virus software
installed on your computer that is automatically blocking Praize Desktop
from downloading. Temporarily shut down your anti-virus software and try
downloading Praize Desktop again.
4. There is a temporary problem with
your web browser. Try clearing cache and deleting cookies. In Internet
Explorer, go to Tools / Internet Options / then click the "Delete
Files" button. Press "OK". Then press the "Delete
Cookies" button. Press OK. Reboot your computer and try
downloading Praize Desktop again.

1. You downloaded and installed
Sun's JVM, or an application you installed on your computer, installed Sun's JVM.
Sun's JVM "plugged in" to Internet Explorer and is preventing Praize
Desktop from loading properly. You can confirm this is the case
by hitting your START button, selecting "Programs", and looking for
"Java 2 Runtime Environment" or "Java Web Start". To
detach Sun's JVM from Internet Explorer do one of the following (note: we
recommending trying option "a" first):
a. Detach Sun's JVM from
Internet Explorer so Microsoft's VM is reactivated. Go to Control Panel by
clicking your "START" button, selecting "Settings", then
"Control Panel". Double-click on "Java Plug-In".
Select the "Browser" tab and uncheck the box for "Microsoft
Internet Explorer". Press the "Apply" button. If
Internet Explorer is open you must first shut it down and then reopen it for
the changes to take effect. Then try downloading Praize Desktop
again and you should see the security box appear.
b. Uninstall Sun's JVM from
your computer so Microsoft's VM is reactivated. Go to Control Panel by
clicking your "START" button, selecting "Settings", then
"Control Panel". Double-click on "Add/Remove Programs".
Select "Java 2 Runtime Environment" and click the
"Add/Remove" button. It will ask: "Do you want to
completely remove the selected application and all its components?" Press
the "OK" button. Sun's JVM should uninstall completely. If Internet
Explorer is open you must first shut it down and then reopen it for the
changes to take effect. Then try downloading Praize Desktop
again and you should see the security box appear.

browser is set to "HIGH" (in which case the browser will never
download the application) or set to "LOW" (in which case the browser
will automatically accept the application without the security certificate). The
security certificate appears when the browser is set to the default of

I saw the security box, clicked "YES", then waited and got a message
that read: "The application could not install Praize Desktop. You may be using an older computer."
1. You may be using an older computer
that does not have Active Desktop installed. To check if your computer has
Active Desktop, simply right-click over an empty area of your desktop. If
"Active Desktop" is not listed on the popup menu, then you do not have
it installed and Desktop will not work.
2. You have anti-virus software
installed on your computer that is preventing Praize Desktop
from installing. Temporarily shut down your anti-virus software and try
downloading Praize Desktop again.
If the above options do not solve
your problem, please e-mail us at support@praize.com

I saw the security box, clicked "YES", then waited and nothing
happened
You may be using an older computer (e.g.
Windows 95). Praize
Desktop ships with a convenient diagnostic tool that will help you
identify the cause of any problems you may experience.
To open the diagnostic tool in Internet
Explorer go to Tools / Internet Options / and click on the Advanced tab. Then
scroll about half way down to the Java category and make sure the following
option is checked:
Java console enabled (requires restart)
Then shut your browser down and open it again.
Next run through the Desktop creation process on the web site using Praize Desktop.
After you get the "Done! It is now safe to click FINISHED" message go
to View / Java console in your browser. Note: If you don't get the "Done!"
message wait 10 seconds and then go to View / Java console in your browser.
This will open the diagnostic output window and allow you to see exactly what is
happening inside the application.
If you see any of the following information in
the output, you need to update your computer to use Praize Desktop.
1. If "Build: "
is less than 2922
2. If "JVM: " is False
3. If you see any errors stating "FileNotFoundException" followed
by information about a .class file. Note: aBeanInfo.class and JSObject.class errors can be ignored.
If any of the above is true, we suggest you update your Microsoft Java Virtual Machine
(JVM) to the latest version at the Microsoft site. Click here to download the update from Microsoft.
This download will enable your computer with the latest Java technology and will ensure you can have a more complete Internet experience.
After you download it, install it and reboot your machine. Then try Praize
Desktop again
and it should work fine.
If you are unsure about whether or not you need
to do the update, please copy and paste the diagnostic output
into an e-mail and send it to support@praize.com
