He came to earth two-thousand years ago,
And suffered pain and rejection that we'll never know.
He was born of a virgin, in a stable no less,
Yet, He lived and He loved and He gave us His best.
Who was this baby, this child who was so dear?
His name is Jesus and His love and grace is always near.
He gives sight to the blinded and strength those who are weak,
Joy to the brokenhearted when it's His Holy face they seek.
Jesus gives us friends and loved ones, our lives to fulfill,
He blesses us greatly when we stay in His will.
The Master is beside us on the mountains so high,
He gives His love freely, oh, how much he loves you and I!
And He's also beside us in the valleys so low,
To give us directions when there s nowhere to go.
Jesus is so mighty, by the power of His hands,
Even the winds and the seas obey His commands.
Twenty-four hours He gives us, each beautiful day is the same,
To praise Him and to worship Him and to glorify His name.
But the most precious gift He gave us was His life on that cross,
Can you really, truly imagine the price our gift cost?
The Savior returned to Heaven to prepare for us a place,
And He'll give us a mansion when we meet Him face to face.
So thank you Jesus, for on that special Christmas morn,
Under a shining star in Bethlehem, in a manger to keep you warm.
Born to give your all to us and to teach to everyone too,
That to love and forgive one another is what we should strive to do.
