“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day” (verse 6).  Jude next spoke of the angels who sinned.  Satan’s sin against God was such an absolute apostasy that he was thrown out of God’s...

“I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not” (Jude 1:5).  Jude jogged the people’s memory.  He used several incidents in their history to demonstrate the righteousness of God.  He...

The Book of Jude is one that is neglected by most pastors and Bible teachers.  That’s very sad because Jude has much to tell us.  It seems pastors/teachers find Paul more relevant for the church today, but I assure you, Jude will feed us.  It might stomp our toes, but we will survive: And we will be enriched for having met...

There are many people now in the five-fold ministries of the church who are nominal Christians.  There are many Christians who are nominal Christians.  What is nominal?  It means not committed.  It means being a Christian in name only.  These are people who make an open profession for Christ, maybe get baptized, take...

This Book of Jude was written somewhere during the period of A. D. 66-69.  It was an open letter written to the entire Christian community.  It’s a prophetic letter warning against the false teachers who would enter the church, not boldly carrying their message aloft, but sneakily coming in quietly and perverting the truth a little ...

In this study we will take apart the Lord’s Prayer and put it back together in the vernacular of today.  There is so much wonderful meat in this prayer that many people overlook and I want to be sure we don’t miss out.  I’ll begin by posting the prayer here then interpreting it by verse. The Apostles knew that the...

V.17- Archippus was a common name among the Greeks. This Archippus was mentioned in Philemon 2 so might have been Philemon’s son. He was the minister in Colosse while Epaphras was in prison in Rome. He was called to the work, and gifted to do it, but he let himself be distracted by outside forces.  Because he had become negligent in his ...

V.6- "Always with grace and seasoned with salt…" What is grace? According to Mr. Webster, grace “is a manifestation of favor shown by a superior, and it is the freely given, unmerited favor and love of God; it is the influence or Spirit if God operating in humans; the condition of being in God’s favor, or one of the elect.”...

“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time” (Colossians 4:5). V.5- “Walk in wisdom.” Someone who is wise has discernment, insight. He has the power to judge what is true and right. So, we have to be wise toward the unsaved. We have to discern what good behavior is in front of them. Never do we want to ...
