It's A Miracle!

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3) Being a Christian site, we take for granted that everyone here is born again. What does it mean to be born again? It means repenting for our sins and recognizing that Jesus took the penalty for them that ...

Who's Friend Are You?

Authored by praizeop2 on Mon, Nov 07 2011 - 12:01 AM

Last week I heard a teaching on the difference between a volunteer and a servant... Sunday, Brother Keith Moore (Faith Life Church), was teaching about serving... And last night the Lord ministered to me on friendship. We all know the scripture about a friend sticking closer than a brother... So the question is: what am I doing to help my ...

Today I want to share with you something that PraizeOP Jim has been working on.  It is incomplete.  There are some things about it that you might not like. But we have been having fun playing with it, and I hope you will too. I think you may also get a glimpse into our life as to the time it takes to accomplish something on Praize... to ...

Wisdom for Life's Trials

Authored by praizeop2 on Tue, Oct 11 2011 - 06:34 AM

I saw the title on one of the videos here on Praize.  It said, "Wisdom for LIfe's Trials".  My immediate thought was, "I have to watch that!"  Hubby called me over to his computer, pointed, and said, "What is this?"  I looked where he was pointing, at a title under Popular Forum Posts.  It said, "Looking For A Real Born ...

Breathless and awestruck!

Authored by jolanell on Thu, Oct 06 2011 - 11:16 AM

Last weekend I rode the cog rail up Pike's Peak to the 14,115 foot top. I had flown in to Denver on Friday to visit my daughter and her husband. Mile High City at 5,280 feet above sea level made me feel breathless as I walked to the baggage claim area. My home city is only about 500 feet above sea level, so I really felt the change in altitude. ...

Is It Well With Your Soul?

Authored by nomorechains on Wed, Oct 05 2011 - 06:41 AM

"It Is Well with My Soul" is a very influential hymn penned by hymnist Horatio Spafford and composed by Philip Bliss. This hymn was written after several traumatic events in Spafford’s life. The first was the death of his only son in 1871 at the age of four, shortly followed by the great Chicago Fire which ruined him financially (he had ...

Dreaming Dreams

Authored by jolanell on Wed, Sep 28 2011 - 12:20 AM

Last night I dreamed that several friends and I were getting ready for Jesus' return. We were so excited and happy. I remember shouting with joy, "It's here! It's today!" The dream lasted a long time. I know because I woke up and looked at the clock that is projected on to our ceiling. It was 2:18 a.m. Then I went back to sleep and continued the ...

I have been listening to a word by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn which has spoken of things that are happening here in the US at present that was something that was spurred on from 9/11/2001 and the teaching is linked to Isaiah 9:10. The same warnings are going on here to bring us back to God and to direct us to seek into God. Reading further in Isaiah 12 & ...

Where else can I go, Lord?

Authored by praizeop2 on Sat, Sep 24 2011 - 09:25 PM

praizeop2's avatar

Where else can I go, Lord? I have a church family, but I can't talk to them about this sin. Father, if I told someone what I have done, they would not want to associate with me.  Am I evil?  Why can't I overcome the bad things in my life? Who can I talk to?  I talk to You, but You don't answer me.  What do I do when my life ...

God, everyday I'm alive, I find myself battling with unseen forces of darkness whose objective it is to Kill me. or at least render me completely useless for your kingdom. I am so sick of fighting to fend them off. It's like a constant barrage against my mind, body, and spirit. They tempt me in every way they can, they know my weak spots, and they ...

Innoculation

Authored by jolanell on Sat, Sep 24 2011 - 09:42 AM

I got a flu shot this week. Now that may not be a big deal to some people, but it was to me. More than 30 years ago I got a flu shot and immediately went into a reaction. My chest began to feel hot, turned red and began to itch. The redness and heat moved up my chest and on to my throat. I began to have trouble breathing. The doctor who gave me ...

Kaput!

Authored by jolanell on Mon, Sep 19 2011 - 09:02 AM

My fancy coffeemaker went kaput...gave up the ghost....bit the dust...bought the farm...kicked the bucket...died...but it didn't meet its maker because I threw it in the dumpster rather than send it back to the manufacturer. I had noticed that it wasn't operating right for a couple of weeks, but never once thought that it was on its last leg. But ...

May I Have This Dance?

Authored by nomorechains on Mon, Sep 19 2011 - 07:03 AM

Jesus stood before me.  His robes of white billowing in the wind of His Holy Spirit.  His face was the very essence of love.  The kindness and compassion etched on His face took my breath away.  I stood there in silence as Jesus extended His hand towards me and asked "May I have this dance?"  Tears fell as I felt the ...

Just Me!

For one who is prone to write a novel every time she blogs, the challenge of condensing my thoughts, feelings, heartbreaks, longings, fears, dreams, visions, and just plain ole living experiences down to a "blogette" is mind boggling.  I know that most people don't have the time to read the ramblin's of an old woman, but Praize was the one ...

Getting a time to observe a virtuous woman

Well my last blog was just to share the Proverbs 31, but I wanted to share an experience that I had due partly to Praize, my sister, but much to the Lord. Due to meeting people here from all walks of life and all over the world, several of us wanted to meet face to face. We just didn't think we could wait until Jesus returned and therefore, it was ...

In the midst of sorrow

Authored by jolanell on Wed, Sep 07 2011 - 02:31 PM

I've received no confirmation message regarding Jean Carley, Robert's wife. But judging by condolence messages I have seen, I believe she is dancing with Jesus. I pray for her children and Rob that the Lord will comfort them, give them peace and joy in the midst of sorrow, and help them through this difficult time. She is one of the most beautiful ...

Reminder

Authored by jolanell on Sun, Sep 04 2011 - 12:32 AM

This morning as I poured my coffee, my hubby said, "Come in here with me and sit down. I want to tell you something." I always feel a sense of dread when he says that. It usually means worrisome news. This morning was no exception. I finished pouring my coffee, walked into the den, and sat down in my recliner. "Okay," I said, "what's the subject." ...
