I also have to go in the 6th of July and get my throat scoped.  I've never had this done before.  I'm trying to be calm about it but, I'm scared to death.  Things at work are still strained and painfully uncomfortable with that young man.  He's an awful young man.  My patience is being worked overtime.  God's gonna ...

Teach Me To Pray

Authored by revsuz on Fri, Jun 22 2012 - 07:26 AM

In this study we will take apart the Lord’s Prayer and put it back together in the vernacular of today.  There is so much wonderful meat in this prayer that many people overlook and I want to be sure we don’t miss out.  I’ll begin by posting the prayer here then interpreting it by verse. The Apostles knew that the ...

IS SALVATION ETERNAL, OR CONDITIONAL?

Authored by revsuz on Thu, Jun 21 2012 - 10:29 AM

I want to begin by reading several Scriptures. You can turn with me if you like. Let’s begin in John 3:16. I will read it with personal pronouns. “God so loved us, that He gave His only begotten Son, that if we believe in Him, we will not perish, but will have eternal life.” Now let’s read Roman 10:1-13. “Brethren, ...

It doesn’t seem possible we are already in the last chapter of the Book of Amos.  I should give you all a final exam, but won’t.  I would like you to think about what we’ve learned in this study.    God doesn’t send His vengeance on the earth until his prophets have been told (Amos 3:7) and they have ...

Amos Chapter 7 part 30

Authored by revsuz on Mon, May 28 2012 - 11:38 AM

Amos explained, “And the LORD took me as I followed the flock.”  Amos made it clear that he was no prophet, nor were his ancestors.  He was not trained to deliver God’s Word to the people.  God gave him what He wanted spoken and Amos spoke it out.  He was herding the sheep from behind, and the Lord tapped Him ...

He is my comforter...

The Lord's comfort is something I've relied on all my life.  Even before I got saved.  I sometimes think of that story in the bible about the laborers who worked all day and then the ones that had only worked for like an hour and yet they got equal pay.  One person's sorrows may be extreme while someone else's may not seem that bad.& ...

Amos Chapter 7 Part 27

Amos made it clear in chapters 3-6 that the reason for God’s punishment on them was their greed, their social and judicial injustice, their hypocritical worship, their economic exploitation of the poor and their self-indulgence.  They broke every commandment God gave them.  They broke their covenant with God by worshipping idols, ...
