The Next Step...

Good grief!  Life is SO different than when I was growing up!  If I sat down at all, it was to read a book. I hate to say it, but I have only read two books this year and they were my husband’s.  I actually HAVE started a third book.  But I don’t read often.  This book is called “Jerusalem” by Jay Sekulow and is 338 pages long.  I am not yet on page one because I am reading the introduction which is several pages.

This week my friend’s husband died.  Actually “died” is an ugly word.   He went on to his next step in life as he was a Christian.  My friends, take care of your body!  Ladies, do NOT do mammograms… they CAUSE cancer!  Men, pay attention to what you eat and exercise.  It makes a difference later on.  No one wants to die sick and yet that is the way  most of us go!  The Bible has dietary rules in it… follow them.

We have a friend that has decided he wants to live to be 120.  He figures he will outlive his wife and all of his kids and most of his grandkids.   I’m not sure how much fun there is in that.  There is not much sense in the notoriety he will receive because all his close friends will be gone.  But then there are worse things he could concentrate on, so I don’t say anything.

Do you realize that we have assignments here on earth?  We are to let as many people as possible know about how Jesus died for us and why.  I have not done a very good job at this.  It must be why I am still here.  I have to reach my quota so I can go be with my friends and loved ones!!  How is your quota doing?
