Is the USA on Your Prayer List?

Weekly I receive messages from people around the WORLD saying that they are
praying for the United States and for the election. I am so grateful
to them for taking their time to do this. They are VERY concerned
about this up-coming election; shouldn't we be? I know that many if
not most or all of you reading this blog ARE the ones praying and
voting, so perhaps I am preaching to the choir, as the saying goes.  

But REALLY... how much time ARE you taking to pray for this country.  We
have gotten ourselves between a rock and a hard place, and only the
Lord can rescue us.  

The Israelis were great at getting themselves into trouble. And at the
last moment our Father rescued them. Well, it seems to me that our
"last moment" is right around the corner.  Are you praying
for your country? How about your family? It is time for us to get on
our knees and seek His face.

It's long past the time for all truly saved ones of God to pray with intercession for all the lost in this world. There are many more still lost than found. Pray for the government, because it's God Himself who sets up "kings" in this world. Pray for the school systems that are teaching false God's as they remove all vestiges of real God from their vocabulary and their buildings. They can and do celebrate ramadan, but can't call Christmas by its name. Pray for our pastors who are teaching only what tickles the ear or outright falsehoods. Pray for strength for those who preach and teach only sound doctrine.

Love the Lord your GOD with all your mind, heart, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself.
