Being used by Him

The last few days have been a whirlwind of activity whether it be work or school or visitors in my home and I have loved it. We went through a time when I was home with a shoulder injury and due to the pain we were mainly just going to doctors. I have to say that time, exercise, and mainly prayers to God were the healer of my shoulder which it as good as new if not better. I have no twinges of pain and therefore am back at work fully functional. During my recuperation, I had the time to read, pray and spend lots of time with Him. It was good to have that time because usually my schedule is how it has come to be now with a flood of activity where the time with God must be guarded or would be non-existent.

We are going to a school which is called Spirit Life Bible Institute and majors in grounding of the Word. I find for me the challenge is to keep my mind stayed on Him when the waves of emotion, work and challenges threaten to wash over the bow of my ship. Keeping my mind stayed on Jesus helps me to maintain the perfect peace and allows me to focus on seeking His Wisdom in each situation. He has gifted me with discernment, but that is only through Him. And as I focus on Him and not on my self, He is free to use me to the greatest advantage to bless others and give Him Glory.

Praying that your day is blessed as you spend time with Him drawing on all He can give.

Be blessed~~Debby

This is a good reminder that we must never be too "busy" to have "God time." Yhank you, Debbie.

Sarah, that would be Isaiah 26:3, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee because he trusts in You."

Nice to see you back, Debbie. :) The Spirit Life Bible Institute sounds wonderful. We should all be working to keep our mind stayed on Him, as the Bible directs. (Sorry, I couldn't find the scripture... but I know it is there!) Blessings ~ Sarah

About: I am originally from Texas but moved here to Southern California about 14 years ago to be near family for help in raising my children. I work as a nurse in a local hospital in this area. My children are all grown, but still are a joy and then there are the grandchildren. Now I am continuing to venture forth with God as my guide. I chose my screen name because my name comes from Hebrew and means "a bee". My middle name, Kay, comes from Greek and means "exultant or rejoicing". So to me my name means, "One who seeks only the sweet (the Lord) in life with rejoicing". I believe and claim scriptural motivations for my name in the verses of Ezekial 3:3, Proverbs 16:21, and Psalms 19 I have a personal ministry within nursing which God placed me in years ago and I know when I am given patients under my care that it is an assignment from Him. The scripture He gave me years ago regarding my ministry is in Isaiah 40:1 "Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, Saith the Lord your God." Through His assistance, He works to do just that with the people I serve. My prayer is that all would come to have a supernatural experience with Jesus, to meet Him, accept Him into their lives and have a special relationship with Him forever. I just love a big family!!
