A Simple Statement (Chick-Fil-A Day)
Kudos to Governor Mike Huckabee (foxnews.com) for initiating the "Chick -Fil -A Appreciation Day".
First of all it showed that there are quite a few Christians in America who are willing to stand up for their rights and rebuke those who trespass against them (Matthew chapter 18, lines 15-17).
Second , it allowed Christians to thank the Cathy family for the positive enterprise they have been running these many years based on Biblical values.
Third it allowed them to show their appreciation for traditional marriage.
The whole episode sort of illustrates how much of a double standard the politically correct have when it comes to free speech. You can talk as much as you want if you agree with them, but if you don't agree with them, they try to silence you. Plus some of them try to destroy you economically as well. Governor Mike was right to focus in on this injustice. In Mike Huckabee's book "A Simple Government" he says that we should return to the basic principles of "justice, integrity and freedom".
I hope Mr Huckabee will some day try to become a presidential candidate once again, even if he has to run as an independent. Most Democrats don't like him because he is a Christian and a faction of Republicans don't like him because he cares about working people. A sad commentary on the state of the Union.
