This is what the question was to the church family today.  Our passions...we all have passion for something...career; to win an Olympic Medal; to finish school and get higher education; to fall in love,get married and raise a family.  All great in themselves. 

One statement he made was this that stuck in my mind,"What we are obsessed with will demonstrate in our life."  Is it earthly treasure only,or is it a heart focused on God and His treasure...whee our heart is there is our treasure also.   Matthew lists in chapter 6 about the worries we have, yet are reminded that God will take care of this...the most important is lives for Jesus..eternal diividens.  That is more important.

"Our lives reflect what we are pursuing. It shows what is at our hearts. Our passions and energy speak volumes." 

Are we obsessed with Jesus Christ?  It should be.  In all we do,say and think, may we show where our true passions lie. Let our focus be on where our heart's treasure is.

Paul said,"But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ.

With this said,we had one of our young people who attended a Canadian Bible Collage speak of his next step of his focus because he is on fire for God.  He is gathering support to go to Mangola in the near future to work along side missionaries.  He is in his third year of studies.  This brings me to my neice who is pursuing a medical profession in the will and calling of God on her life.  She relies fully on God to lead her...finished two years...going into her third.  She is obsessed with Jesus Christ. Are you going  to lay aside as PAul did and go...testing out your faith along the way?  God does wonders to those who follow Him with the focus on Him.

God willsupply our needs WHEN we first seek His Kingdom and HIs righteousness first.  That is what other young adults are doing...working with Metro Ministries in New York,stepping out of their comfort zone of their comfortable church and church family and moving on because they have heard the call of God on their lives.  God is their passion...they are focused on Him.. Let us measure our lives well.
