Putting God First In Your Life
We have all heard time and time again that God should come first in our lives. But, just what does that mean to us as christians? Does this mean that we sweep the entire concept under the rug when we don't want to contend with something that might be on our agenda. It happens a lot in our everyday lives. The concept of God is out of reach for a lot of people, even christians. We all want to say that it isn't but, in practise, something else is offered to God in lue of what he has willed for us. It is obedience and not disobedience that he ask of us. Well how easy is that when we live in the world. Yes, we live in the world but, as christians who are obedient to God's will, we become observant and more understanding to his will as we try harder to carry out his will.
God's will on earth is the carrying out of the masters' plan for our salvation. If you don't do your part then how can you expect that he will do anything for you? He has informed us, through the flesh, of his salvation. He has made us aware that we are saved from death and will have everlasting eternity in life. And these things he says because, he loves us and cares for us. He comes in our most hour of need. He comforts us when we are sick, feeds us when we are hungry and clothes us when we are in need. He is as our father in heaven. Though, his son has paid the price in his death for the renewal of our souls.
And for this may God have mercy on my soul and give me the courage and the strength to do his will on this earth. God also grant me your protection from my enemy. God grant me health and strength against the enemy so they aren't empowered against me. Because, through your will I am strenthened against all obsticles in my way. Use my obedience toward your good and your glory. Your will alone is our salvation. Glory to God in the highest. For you are above all things, good over evil, for you can't love evil.
Put God first. God is more than worthy. Know your place next to his majesty, and put yourself there. Remember that it is his will that nothing be before him and that no person on this earth be before you. Then, nothing or anyone comes before your spouse, in that order, then your children next. This is God's will. There is no material, animal, or vegetable thing that comes before that, for that is the will of God almighty. This is not to be confonded with what you will for yourself because, that would be false.
