Seeing in the Dark
A Blast From The Past--2/24/2006 Seeing in the dArK I was blind once upon a time, until Jesus came and gave me sight. But then, after I saw TRUTH, a darkness moved in. CAll it immaturity, ignorance, deception or my spiritual baby days; whatever you like. The TRUTH is that tho I was now in the light, it grew very dark in my world. But through it all, I heard the call, of my name roll off the lips of my sweet Lord. I followed His Voice and I held tightly to His hand. I was not certain of His plan. One thing I knew for sure is that HE IS THE GREAT I AM!!!! He exhorts us in saying, "my children KNOW My voice and the voice of a stranger they will NOT follow." In my darkness, JESUS was my LIGHT. HE is the WORD that became flesh and dwelt among us. He is the lamp unto my feet and the light unto my path. He taught me to see HIM even in utter darkness. Like a cat that sees well in the dark, so GOD also trained my night vision. When you are in a lighted room and someone turns off the light, your eyes need a few seconds to re-focus and in those few seconds in the dark you cannot see anything. In spiritual things, if you are never exposed o darkness your eyes will never have the opportunity to be trained to see in the dark; the eyes will not learn to adjust. But as long as you are looking at JESUS who IS the LIGHT, your foot will not stumble in the darkness. He will light your way.
There is a point in time when you learn so well to see in darkness that when the darkness lifts, you don't even notice it. JESUS becomes the stabalizing element that leads you through. In your darkest hour, lift up your eyes and your voice unto the hills in worship to the Lord and JOY comes in the morning!!!!!!! In the morning, night time ends.
Trust the Lord for your SIGHT and what you see. Allow Him to re-train your vision and trust hIM for every interpretation of all types of media. What you see, hear and think...let HIM define and give revelation of those things. DO NOT read anything into it. This I KNOW as one that is intellectully depended upon analytical thinking and reasoning, that if you choose to "read" into things, you open yourself up to deception and deception is satan's tool to KEEP you confused and separated from GOD and keep you in GOD's permissive will for your life. The blessings of GOD do not exist in His permissive will. GOD's desire for those that love HIm is for them to be abiding in the LAND HE promised us, the land flowing with milk and honey. When you believe a lie, it redirects your path and keeps you in a mal-align position with GOD and you miss the blessings. WHY? Because John 10:10 tells us that satan comes for to Kill, Steal and Destroy!! Satan wants to destroy your walk of faith and belief in JESUS. He wants to ruin your testimony!!!! But I am here to tell you that however well it may seem that he (satan) has succeeded in destroying you, if you truly belong to GOD, and you keep your heart right before God as Joseph did in the book of Genesis, GOD will bring you OUT!!! Just as He did the Israelites from slavery. HE did it for them and He will do it for them that love HIm. He is no respector of persons and HE is the same yesterday, today and forever!! His love never FAILS. Nothing can seperate you from the LOVE of GOD ALMIGHTY!!!! He is not a GOd that He should lie! God can't lie and HE can't deny Himself, if HE truly lives in you!!!!!!
When you feel so lost and confused and are so overwhelmed that you do not know what to do and have NO MORE ENERGY to even try and save yourself and you can't even utter the smallest pray of help, SING, SING, SING, if you muster up your last syllable before you think its your last breath, WORSHIP! Forget everything, and just tell the Lord how much you love HIM and long to KNOW HIM and YOu watch and SEE how FAST you get GOD's ATTENTION!!!! I am saying to you that GOD is LOOKING at your HEART, not your lack, or your sin, or your flaws, or your wrongs, or your bad habit of cussing, or your smoking or anthing of the sort. He is looking to see what's in your heart!!!!!
Everyone if all you can do is say these words....."JESUS, I choose to believe you.. I can't see it yet, but I choose to believe you". It all starts with what comes out of your mouth. You believe what you hear yourself saying quicker and easier than what others tell you or say about you. So begin telling yourself and re-programming yourself as to what you believe by choosing to belive GOD! His WORD works if your work the WORD! Begin saying to yourself what GOd says about you. God says you are above and not beneath, your are the head and not the tail, you are blessed coming in and blessing going out, everything you put your hand to do prospers. Jesus said this His words are spirit and they are Life and He would that you would choose LIFE and live the ZOE (abundant) Life thru HIM. But God cannot be manipulated. As I mentioned earlier, He is looking at your heart. God is not a cause and effect GOD! IF your heart's attitude is I will obey the word of God, the ten commandments, etc. God has to bless me; YOU HAVE MISSED IT!!!!! GOD is not a formula!!! HE is a JEALOUS GOD and HE WANTS ALL OF YOU. He wants a relationship with you because HE is an intimiate and relational GOD!!!! HE loves you so MUCH that HE hung on the cross for all your iniquities. He already paid the price for you to walk in health, wealth and JOY!
Renew your mind with the WORD of GOD and allow it to transform your life. Be pliable and meek and SEEK HIM as if HE was the only person or thing that mattered to you in this world!!!! IF you will make HIM YOUR FIRST LOVE and ABIDE in that love, you will see that you will never be the same again. There is POWER in the NAME of JESUS!! Release that POWER in your life today!!! Purpose that today is a NEW DAY IN YOUR LIFE! Give yourself totally to CHRIST. The more of yourself you give to HIM, the more of HIMSELF HE WILL GIVE UNTO YOU!! Until at least you are ONE-FLESH with HIM. GOd is quite the artist. SO, give yourself permission to be GOd's canvas....let Him add and subtract color, dimensions, and whatever else the master artist sees fit to do. When the piece is complete, it will be a rare and unique painting that will reveal YOU as HE sees YOU! You will be able to see yourself through God's eyes and you will be totally amazed and in awe. God does not see the flaw. Begin today, call upon GOD...no matter how tiny the step you take towards HIM, keep taking them, be persistent and consistent and you will see that for each tiny step you take towards HIm, He will take Giant steps towards you in comparison!
He has a plan for your life! Jeremiah 29:11 & 12 Don't go your own way, that is the wrong way. Proverbs 3: 4 & 5; Ask God about every choice in front of you and allow Him to direct your steps and you will be in perfectpeace and then tomorrow get up and do it all over again, on day at a time.
Whatsoever things are just and lovely, if there be any virtue or praise, or of good report, think on these things! Becareful what things you ponder or dwell on.
