Continuing the depth of Relationship

THE DEPTH OF RELATIONSHIP

I BELIEVE THIS IS THE Book of John and the instruction is that when we love the Lord we are to love him with our being(heart, mind ,soul and spirit) The love for him is to be all encompassing.. I read a lot of material from Andrew Murray and his life; one thing that becomes evident is his being consumed by his love for Jesus.

When you read a lot of the material that was done by these special men something is very noticeable and that is the first hand knowledge of Jesus that they have. This kind of first hand relationship is rare in humanity today.

Biblically the first time I saw it evidenced was in the collective as well as the singular relations between Jesus to Peter, and Jesus to John, and Jesus to James, and finally Jesus to three at one

We were talking about three different personalities and the personality of the group as they stood as one with him. They had identities before the Lord came into their lives and yet through the anointing upon Jesus their persona began to reflect him. During a period of correction for some failure in the camp the tabernacle went from the camp to being a tabernacle of meeting just outside the camp.  Moses took Joshua with him for this time but Joshua would not return to the camp but would stay in the presence of the Lord in the tent;

Exodus33:11

And the LORD spoke unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he returned again into the camp; but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

The lives of Joshua or Moses bore the reflection physically of their continual presence before the Lord. To give you an idea of what I mean, have you ever spent quite a while in intercessation before the Lord and have you come a way from that period with something different in your life that you knew was his presence?? If you go into his chambers you will come away changed. If you spend time with the Lord you will change completely. My wife is one hundred percent different from the woman that I married because through the presence of the Lord in our home we have begun to meld into one personality as he designed. Becoming one; check the meaning for the word peace used in John14:26-27

But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in my name [in my place, to represent me and act on my behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. 27) Peace (being at one) I leave with you; my [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

Notice first the comforter, the Holy Spirit will teach you, & bring a recall of all Jesus taught,

Then Peace I leave with you. In this short burst of a few words, he is telling you he will bring his word to you so that through that word you begin to become one with him and in him

Read all the chapters in John from 14-17

Study the book of Philippians and find out what Paul meant when he said “LET THIS MIND BE IN YOU that WAS IN Christ Jesus

JM---CONTINUING

I first wrote this in Jan. of this year and at that time did have an insight of the importance of being IN him. I did not see that the word was trying to say to us that we become as he is when we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us into the depths of Christ.

When Jesus spoke of returning to heaven to the Father he never once described the Holy Spirit as a lesser authority that he would send back.  He would be sending one that was and is part of the Godhead on to be our parakletos-our representative in the throne. Can you see this ;though we are flesh and blood we still are rulers in the Lord through his name and the resident power of God in us.

The word in the Bible depending on how it’s used reflects more than we can imagine
