577 PUNISHMENT.

Zechariah 14:17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

Zechariah 14:18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Zechariah 14:19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

There is only one escape from punishment and that is to ask forgiveness of God through the death of Jesus Christ for your sins.

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Those who think that they have done nothing wrong and that God will take them into Heaven without them having to do anything, are sadly mistaken, and will be punished for their ignorance.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Sadder yet are those who, having committed an act worthy of punishment, think they will avert judgement and punishment because they have not yet been caught.

Everyone will be rewarded with the punishment they deserve by their very actions.

Romans 2:6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

Romans 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

Romans 2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

Romans 2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

 Just because you have not been caught and punished, swiftly, does not mean that you have escaped punishment. It just means that you have not come to your final judgment to be judged for punishment.

Nothing escapes God’s scrutiny.

Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

And, God does not forget.

Hosea 7:2 And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.

There will be many who will remember their wrong doing when it is too late; when they see God approaching with their ‘reward’ for their iniquity.

Isaiah 40:10 Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

Those who think that they have escaped punishment will receive punishment, who have never repented and confessed their sins, as God’s word commands.

We don’t escape punishment because of OUR THOUGHTS or OUR IDEAS.

We escape from punishment because of God’s mercy on His son, Jesus Christ, and the gift be bought and is presenting to us upon our repentance and our turning from our sins.

1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

It does not matter that you have been unpunished for 10, 20, 30, 50, or 100 years, if you have not confessed your sin and asked God’s forgiveness, you will be rewarded with punishment.

If you do not obey God’s word to avoid punishment, then you will be rewarded with the punishment your actions tell God that YOU WANT!

Isaiah 3:9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.

You are creating your own judgment, now, with your deeds, and creating, for yourself, your own punishment, in your eternal future.

Jeremiah 25:14 For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also: and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the works of their own hands.

YOU ARE CHOOSING YOUR OWN PUNISHMENT; WHAT WILL BE YOUR ETERNITY?
